Killzone is head and shoulders above Uncharted.
Particle effects.
Graphics.
Lighting.
Art style.
If you want to do a FPS to a high standard you should be aiming at topping that, not a game than puts most of its graphical power in facial movements fluidity and physics.
I've seen a quite a few decent snipers who move behind there squad in offensive games providing support before moving on as the squad moves.
Defensive modes are basically your run of the mill sniper tactics.
So there.
When assaulting a position it's pretty likely everybodies behind some sort of cover waiting but not in the sense of COD where you walk around a corner and some guy is sat in the most obscure place.
It's defensive camping.
I've just finished a match playing as Valor attacking Raven.
We had all the AA batteries down, all of the objectives opened and we were two thirds the way to victory with five minutes left,it was a slim chance of winning at best.
On the five minute mark our OIC (Officer In Charge) came on the Mic and issued the order -
"We have five minutes left to win or lose this, and it looks like we're going to be cutting it fine. What I want you all to do is your squad leader...
Sitting on a massive warehouse defendining two objectives is fun, It's even more fun knowing you can shoot out of the windows and balconies at the APC's coming down the road when you can see the engineers building the gates underneath you to create a bumper.
Now this simple aspect is where teamwork comes into play.
If the Snipers don't clear the roof your going to get popped and blown up from the buildings across the road and you're gonna have no long range defence from the...
The way everybody has to argue over ways something MUST fail.
I'm sick of hearing the word fail, seeing the word fail, Either buy the game and enjoy it or stfu and go do something else.
It has a few connection errors at times usually just after logging into your PMC "server" but after that it's usually good to go.
And whoever said MAG doesn't have pop in needs there eyes checking.
Of the size of the maps and the distances you find yourself fighting in, realistic recoil would destroy this game.
Pretty good actually.
Defending is -way- more fun than attacking. Having all your guys spread out in bunkers/roofs/treeline/etc, Looking over your shoulder to the side and seeing the other squad spread in ruins exchanging fire, rocket smoke flying out of the windows and seeing them get to work is pretty inspiring.
The guns have a reasonable kick to them. It isn't COD's bombastic over the top noise but it's good,it's the feeling you get watching a war film and everythi...
That game is godlike.
Most fun I have -ever- had in a game, I think I ended up with around 45 friend profiles at the end of it all and every single person who picked up the controlled loved it.
I'll never understand how a game that has so much content and does everything so perfectly got overlooked so badly, personally I put it down to the art style.
You've just opened the flood-gates,dont you?
I'm guessing this was a Playstation one or two,as if they had brought him a PS3 he would most likely have converted it into a suit A'la Iron Man and stomped everybody.
They're just jealous 'cos even PoW's can afford Playstations.
"us PC gamers are l33t and we deserve better than everyone else is getting because we are a community an stuff and we have this kind of power to baw about things that aren't good enough for us".
Baw indeed.
- Slower running.
- No health buff on Assault class.
- 40 a side.
- APC vehicles.
- Moveable mounted guns.
- More big maps like Saluman Market,Killzone is the king of street to street fighting, small maps are lame.
Now I know most of you guys have only ever read The Hungry Catapillar bookwise and wouldn't get it if it hit you in the face, but Rico is supposed to be the guy who blurs the line between our current views of good and bad.
I didn't like him,but watching him become more and more extreme as he slowly cracks from war fatigue was a first in shooting games.
Why eat burger when you have steak?
