no new information has been released other than the date. 2 day early access has been out for a month or more. open beta has been out for a year or more.
you still could have only read the title and figured it out. you even used october 1 as a date for the open beta because that would make it 2 days from the "open" release. so you knew.

i dont plan on buying this game and I found it amusing.
i dont know exactly whats included, but it costs 49.99.
ill probably pick it up too when it hits 40$ around the holidays. I will not do elite though. that 50$ is better spent on any of the other great games coming out this fall.
im satisfied with BC2 destruction for the most part. i agree that whole buildings collapsing does limit the battlefield so im sort of happy with the improivements.

for most of the gamers I know...frames per second, graphics dont really matter.
its all about time and accessibility. When I live at school its common to have 30-45 mins in between classes or other obligations. My friends can play 4-5 rounds of COD in that time period. its just mindless quick fun.
I on the other hand prefer battlefield. in that 30-45 minutes I can finish 1 round, but usually cant. the games last longer and are slower.
