Played games since games began. There's no way I could pick just one. A lot of the love for a certain game comes from the time and place in your life that you played it.
I think this type of perception about Nintendo is what is part of the problem. A couple of years back they had all the major 3rd party games on Wii U. Ghosts, AC Black Flag, Batman, FIFA, Need For Speed. The problem is most non "gaming news" folk even knew Wii U existed.
Bad timing, bad name, no hype, call it whichever reason but as the most powerful console with all third party support for an entire year, it did not work.

You know when I first saw and bought Wii U I was amazed at all it had. I was like, "wow I can get the best looking version of BO2? I can play the new COD Ghosts online on the game pad while the gf watches TV? I can play Assasin's Creed on a Nintendo system? It's gonna get that cool new game Watch Dogs and Super Mario 3D World looks like candy! A new HD Zelda is coming, this is going to be great!"

Well it would be dumb to not do both and I think that is why it was delayed.
They made that mistake with Skyward Sword and Wii U. People don't want to wait until NX is dead for a Zelda game on it.
I feel like this year's games had elements of greatness but not one was truly great. MGSV had a great gameplay loop, Witcher had a great world and dialogue, Splatoon had a great new idea, FO4 had a great world, Bloodbourne had a great atmosphere. Some were very good games and some WERE over hyped but looking back I wouldn't give any a 10 that's for sure.
I can't agree as it was in no way over hyped and did not receive stellar reviews.
Quite the opposite actually as the game has generated hype of it's own with fans over time.
Idk why but it's the only time people ask me about wii u. It has people's attention.
The force is strong in this one.

Not that I know of. I think those and Star fox are it for 2016 barring any new news.
Quality piece of hardware anyway.
Wii was popular because it was simple and people wanted to try it because it was new and looked fun.
PS4 is a simple gamers console.

Splatoon is the game people I know who don't have Wii U's always ask about. It's the best thing Nintendo has going for it right now.

Wait until the YouTube VR puking videos come out. Then you can lower those numbers considerably and it will be a lot cheaper in a year.
