He played Burn Out Paradise with a passion for the last two years.. but absolutely loves GT5/Hell bent on buying the Chevrolet Camaro SS: He’s a level 8 drive.. only a few races to 9.)
To your point… I would have never imagined that GT5 would be this polarizing.

However, emphases should be placed on 'where' the polish was applied. The jewel of this game is in the mechanics. And from what I understand, the mechanics were built (anew) from the ground up. To sum it up: I appreciate the response to secondary visuals by fans and nonfans alike; However, 5+ years were invested in the next gen engine of GT: The stated investment + the level of visual polish introduced to this point (good and bad) is more than accep...
I personally love every aspect of the game.. (and I am not a racing fan or car enthusiast).

I have to pace myself with this game to ensure I get to bed at a decent time. What's more surprising is that I'm absolutely loving the B-Spec component. (I have extreme hot and cool headed drivers) ... and its a good way to earn some extra credits/cash and cars.
Come on Ares84.. you have posted your "letdown" several times across multiple posts. I'm calling you out for some honest discussion here (no bubble popping)
The game is absolutely beautiful... across the board.
The only thing you can shake a stick at is the shadow engine (which should be fixed during the first/patched in Dec).

It truly is an education.. I find myself absolutely engrossed in the goal of master the weight and throttle control of each car I drive. And just when I feel great about my CIVIC.. I have to buy a pre 78’ Japanese classic (different cars and driving mechanics in every sense...
I appreciate the continued expansion of the 'hack in slash' however, to omit GOW3 from the GOTY list is a farce.
