I have been gaming since the Commodore 64 (floppies are the bomb). So.. I'm a little embarrass to say that I discovered (started playing) the Ratchet and Clank series on the PS3. With that said. I'm picking this up today.
I'm with you... however it’s simply too much information to approach it in a traditional guide fashion.
I love the guide. Although it took me a couple of days, I know it like my life depends on it ☺ .
But couldn’t wait any longer.
had to pick it up from my local GameStop and cancel the Amazon order.
The Guide is a must have. I was a fool to enter the world of the original DS without one (lived off of wiki).
Good Point!
The only thing that’s true about your statement is the Capelli's look/face and build. It may have worked if there was a 10 year gap between R2 and R3. Overall it was a great game with a great feel.
With that said.. R2 remains my favorite. And R2’s 8 player multi dependence co-op remains the best implementation of co-op to date.
Loving Darks Souls just like I loved the first.
I appreciate your frustration (I'm with you), but a patch won’t help. Now, it would be great if Namco/From Software migrates multiplayer components to a signal server for each platform. However, I fear that the framework may not support the migration as readily as we would like.. in addition it may be cost prohibitive (I have no insight into how it was built).
I will state that the original DS was great in this respect.
Ohhhh. I thought I was going to own Dark Souls because I was the foretold king of Demon's Souls .. I could not have been more wrong.
Its true that things get much easier once you understand the basic attack flow of each enemy... however the lack of health healing herb drops and the relentless pursuit of the enemies is rougher than first anticipated. Nevertheless, I love it! !!!!
Forgive the typos, I sent this from my phone.
Thanks for the tip -
Even though it was like listening to an auctioneer. :)
Keep it up (plugging away at DS) GamerFuzion!
Yes....and I must continue the spiritual transition from the DS.
Just picked up my SE Dark Souls for the PS3. I was also happy to see several folks at the local gamestop picking up copies for their 360.
This is going to be a long night ...and a very tired morning.
I'm ashamed to say that I never finished Folklore. ... and I need to Jump on Killer7.
I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed this game. Very smart dialog and classic pattern based boss fights were a big win for me.
Noooooo.
I loved this game!
The story, diaolog, mini games and clothing selection is worth 2 points by it self. :)
The fighting mechanics are indeed awkward, however they are certainty not broken - very tight once you get the hang of them.
To be fair:
You're spot on about the controls for the motorcycle and collision detection.
But, based on you web site, I would have thought that you would love the retro throwback ref...
Me too...whether I really want to or not!
It would be the shortest.. or longest rental of all time.
DS has a Love/Hate effect on most folks.
Pretty sure Dark S will be the same.
This might be the most shallow list I have ever seen.
@Highlife
If Horry is not a legend... then he must be the greatest clutch time lucky charm in NBA history.
If I'm not mistaken.
NBA Championship (with clutch shoots for decisive wins involved)
- Rockets 2X
- Lakers (3x)
- Spurs 2X
- ..my bad...
He may not be a hall of famer.. but certainly a legend. By the way, good to see classic NBA fans on the board.
Demons Souls entire premise centered around world *submersion*. No in game chat. Instead a very intuitive gesture system was in place - Players from other realms would meet with gestured responses in perfect understanding.
To each his own. … However, DS was one of the most unique games of this generation. I expect Dark Souls to follow in step.
Ok. I'm overtly hype again (reading this after the joysiq review has helped). Im like a leaf in the wind on this ...being tossed from here to there...... I just don't want ME 3 to fall short of absolutely greatness. (Perhaps Im setting myself up?)
I thought that was pretty funny... it would be nice if some of these news outlets would hire a person with subject knowledge in that position.
