Pierce Brosnan or GTFO.
Tropico 4 to win 2011. You heard it here first.
By 'meddle', I mean 'bad games sell better than they really should'.
But it isn't, though. Earning 100% in a game is like earning 100% in a game. I don't want to collect every icon, pigeon, jump on every platform or never walk on cracks on the pavement because I'm not mentally ill.
I want to play the entertaining parts of a videogame, and avoid that kind of obsessive nonsense.
Well said, sir!
Yes, but the very fact the exist make you feel as if you're missing out if you don't chase them.
If you do, you'll often end up toiling through parts of a game you wouldn't otherwise touch. I've had my enjoyment of plenty of games ruined by such an urge.
I think it fundamentally alters the design of quite a few 360 titles in ways that simply promote grinding.
Though you could ignore them it's hard to, making games slightly less satisfying than they used to be.
@ iamnsuperman
Read to the bottom of the article, please :)
I don't know how anyone could classify a story such as this as 'rumor'. If we aren't to use vgchartz' data, whose do we use?
Something isn't wrong just because one person doesn't agree with its outcome, guy..
You're both wrong.
I disagree with this.
Hells no. "The red team has captured the Reaper". Absolute nonsense of the highest order, totally inappropriate and mechanically not likely to be all that sound. It's meant to be an RPG, for crying out loud!
@Abriael
Who can do exactly that on the phone they already have in their pockets. Fact.
@Abriael
Sales numbers of what exactly? A console that doesn't exist yet? The Nintendo 3DS units they're having to hide inside cakes so people will buy them?
I do play games on other formats, y'know. ;)
Maybe you'll have to feel around, working out where the buttons and joysticks SHOULD have been.
10/10.
Has anyone read this article? It's about trailers and gameplay footage obviously being from the PC, which is obviously worrying as the hardware will be many time more powerful than anything the 360 OR PS3 can handle.
It's got nothing to do with all this PS3 rocks/360 is rubbish nonsense. Sheesh.
Shouldn't your avatar be Dudley? Seriously, my attitude would be the same if Microsoft was bringing a handheld out. Where's the market? There isn't one.
No it isn't. Games backed by solid licenses on iOS come in at around £3-5. On PSVita they'll be £30 or so. A throwaway few minutes of fun can be bought on either format for, essentially, pennies.
My point is it's debatable if a mass market wants a full-formed shooter on a handheld format. But if they do, they can certainly get it for a lot, lot less than Sony will charge.
Correct. The manufacturer's largely irrelevant. The 3DS is doomed, too. Who'd buy a dedicated machine when your mobile phone contract entitles you to one?
"Don't shoot me!"
