@ John, the deal with sony and EA for mass effect did not affect me at all as i had the game on PC, and for BF3 hysteria then yes i am swept up but thats all because.
1: i played BF2 like no tomorrow and lets not forget BFBC2 and BF2 are 2 completely different games
2: i was in the alpha so i know first hand just how good the game is and can honestly say the alpha was better than any cod game i have ever played

I'm glad ps3 owners are doing this. After the last 2 COD's its about time we stop showing support to activision and start showing support for EA.

Seriously guys i can understand the love for COD but once you play BF and get used to the mechanics you will soon realise that COD under par when it comes to online shooters especially on the ps3.

Watch the new trailer and tell me you are not blown away by what you see

@ 1:34 Wall E even made it in BF3 HAHA

Serious though this game is imense. i was one of the lucky ones to get the pre alpha invite and have a rig to play it on.

In terms of how atmospheric a game can be, well lets just say no shooter makes you feel like you are in the middle of a war like BF3 does.

Sorry COD and Activi$ion i have had enough of your rehashes and over priced DLC,

RIP COD 25/10/2011

Rage, Metro and battlefield 3 i agree with however i don't think the console version will surpass KZ3.

Bioshock, well i can honestly say he did not have is glasses on there. Far cry 3 unsure what to think yet and Resistence 3 although nice is not kz2 level nevermind kz3

My 5 reasons to purchase gears 3 over uncharted 3.

1: I dont have a ps3
2: I cant afford a ps3
3: Whats a ps3
4: I love the old ass unreal engine (like cods engine)
5: I am a xbox fanboy

Thats the only logical reasons i can think of

I have not bothered to read the article as its going to be the same old same old as of late however from the title alone i would say one step behind is very generous,

IMO cod has nothing on BFBC2 and BF3

Did you ever think that people were sniping a mile away because they were scouting enemy locations to reveal their possition on the map??

You did realise you can do that right?

@ black, I have said the same things for years about FPS, all movies stick to 24fps.

To be honest i bet there were thousands of people including journalists who did not have a F'in clue what fps was until this gen.

All of a sudden its now a problem that games run at 30fps! jesus i better stop watching movies then or else my eyes are going to bleed because its not super silky smooth!!

Szarky, thats what i have always loved about BF, its all about team play! something cod has failed to do so far and personally i think it will never get it right!

MW3 does not deserve the credit its getting! for the past 3 years its been nothing but gloryfied expansion packs

I hope activision learn from battlefield and decide to make a fresh game next term!

Those who have played battlefield 2 (not bad company 2) will agree that that game was leaps and bounds above any cod game to date! bring on BF3

The reason mr bowling and his team have done this is because they are scared of the monster that is BF3.

october cant come quick enough! i have just spashed out £400 for my 2nd gtx580 just for BF3

Petro what you just said made no sense at all.
just because you are getting more FPS DOES NOT mean you are using more electricity and making more heat.
To prove that i have an old 9800gx2 which has a power consumption that is more than my gtx460 however my 460 is able to play games with a higher FPS that what my GX2 can yet uses less electricity.

I agree with V-sync as it causes lag on mouse input however there is no need for unlimited fps as the human eye ca...

@ MoveTheGlow
I sort of agree with you there but when people see R&D (research and development) most would assume that means complete new system when infact sony could be reseaching how well 2 cells scale or developing a main bord that will allow 2 cells.

The only people that know is sony and what is above is just my guess because manufacuring costs will be lower on the cell which to me makes sense to add a second in ps4

5369d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

@Ikari
Why would that be the last thing sony would do???
They would not buy the chip out right just to stare at it. Also Devs are now starting to understand its architecture so that would mean developing for PS4 would be a breeze

5369d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I will probably get laughed at here but this is what im thinking.

Now sony own the manufacturing rights to the cell this only means the cost of the ps3 will drop and im thinking $200 £150 to be announced at E3.

With that being said straight after that announcement i can see sony saying they will be making the ps4 with 2 cell's and updated GPU for a launch price of between $250 - $350 £200 -£300.

One can dream anyway
