Sony are pretty much guaranteed to win even if Microsoft allow used games. If they indeed block, Sony are literally gonna destroy them next-gen.
It doesn't matter if you make more money with software if no one buys the next xbox because they can't trade their games back or rent them.
Actually, they said early 2013, not Q1 2013.
There is a reason for that, the WiiU just shipped more units than the other 2 in the same time.
I remember trying to buy a ps3 early and couldn't find one in store, while right now, it's impossible not to find a WiiU if you want one.
I imagine a lot of people couldn't find a ps3 or 360, thus why it sold less. If there would have been the same amount on the market, the PS3 and 360 would have sold more.
Actually, I think they are worried. When they saw the PS4, they probably said: "Damn, this is much better than what we have."
I wouldn't be surprised if they go back to the drawing board for this.
Gonna wait a few months before getting one here. My PS3 backlog is too big anyway, still gonna need to clear it by then.
This is what happens when you make too many awesome games. I can never have too many games, it's time I need.
No Bravely Default Flying Fairy or Final fantasy Type 0 localizations and no Final Fantasy Versus XIII release. Yeah, they sure are the best.
Problem is that they're not gonna keep all the fans they got this generation. The PS4 is very likely to steal most of Microsoft market back and even take some devoted Xbox adopters with them as well.
Also, no matter how much money Microsoft have and how good they are, they will not escape the curse of the third console.
That price is not real. I doubt the thing will even cost more than 400$.
If there is a sequel, there is no way it would be on the WiiU exclusively.
"In the next generation of console games, we may see it rise to $70 dollars."
No we will not. There was never any say about increasing price to 70$. Someone with no credibility started that rumor after they read that article with the EA interview. Apparently, they read it wrong, because they never mentionned any price increase.
Also, Sony already confirmed that there won't be a price increase, as they said games will be 0.99$-60$.
April 30th can't come soon enough. Soul Sacrifice looks awesome.
Also, they say they want to eradicate piracy, yet an increase of 10$ would likely push people to do it even more and if people decide to do it, they can't stop them. A lot of people live in a place where it's not even illegal. Hell, I could do it here, I live in a place where it's completely not illegal for personal use. So here, you can pirate freely and they can't touch you unless you start selling something.
Also, if you make money from it, unless you sold ...
Sony already debunked 3 of those rumors.
They said used games would be allowed in an interview.
Sony said you can play games offline with no internet connections.
Sony said games would be 60$. So EA can't price games at 70$ originally, unless they were limited editions, which they were already pricing at 70$ for the first print (for example, Need for Speed Hot pursuit 2010 was 69.99$ at launch, which quickly went down once limited edition...
They're waiting to see what Microsoft does. If Microsoft doesn't block used games, they won't either.
If Microsoft does block used games, same scenario, Sony will obviously come out and say they don't do it. It would give them a huge edge over Microsoft.
If Sony doesn't block them and Microsoft does, Sony will bury Microsoft next gen.
There is obviously gonna be a prologue version to GT6 like GT4 and GT5.
So I wouldn't rule out them releasing GT6:Prologue on PS3 and GT6 on PS4.
There is nothing Nintendo can do to stop piracy. Where I live, piracy is not even illegal if you do it for personal use and that is not likely to change ever.
I seriously hope the 3DS and WiiU get hacked soon, just because Nintendo pisses me off.
As for the reason why the PSP was not getting 3rd party support, piracy is not the reason. The piracy was also on the DS and it was probably easier to pirate then a PSP.
Really, the reason Nintendo i...
Axtually, the ranking would be :
1st: Wii
2nd: PS3
3rd: 360
The PS3 already passed the 360 in sales, so Microsoft lose once again.
I don't like the way he said it, but even though MS doesn't only have Kinect, they have been focusing on it primarily, abandoning the core gamers that made the 360 a success in the process.
If they slow down on Kinect stuff and focus on core gamers, they should be fine.
However, they're likely not gonna do that and that's why a lot of people are switching to Sony.
Going around forums, I see lots of people who were 360 fanboys ...
The PS3 wasn't dead. I could barely find one in stores 6 years ago 3 months after release.
As for the WiiU, I can't walk into a store and not see about 4-5 on shelves.
FF7 on xbox is not gonna happen, since Sony are the ones who published the original. I don't think it's that easy for Microsoft to get it.
Beside, I think Square-Enix are finally figuring out with KH1.5 and FF10 HD that supporting Microsoft is not a good idea.
Also, Final Fantasy versus XIII will also not see the light of day on Xbox, it's a Sony exclusive.
