Those particle effects are pure shite. What were they thinking? Tone is down a bit and make them like actual elemental effects instead of glitter bombs flying around.

You can buy an XSX right now from MS website - https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/... while you cannot source a PS5 anywhere except Ebay. That is not spin.

MS has much deeper pockets so can take the financial hit to gain a larger market share. They are obviously going all out for 'Gaming as a service' model so eventually all games will be subscription based. Sony is at least staying on the retail path for as long as possible. Those falling for Microsoft's tactics will never own a game if the GAAS model wins and Sony loses the console wars.

Isn't this because more XSX/S are available at msrp. The PS5 is still difficult to find.

The RT reflections are ok but they should have used RT Global Illumination instead. Makes a bigger difference.

Damn..the Bloody slash nerf messes up my already weak melee build.
They buffed spellcasters which were already op. I'm gonna put points into INT to change my playstyle.

Kind of sad that the player has to grind or find 'rune farm' areas to level up enough to get past most of the bosses. I'm at level 56 with a vigor/strength build and still cannot kill some of the normal knights without getting owned. The difficulty takes the cake and will probably put off many players.

They seem to be able to make 30fps RT enabled games so 4K 60fps should be the target for the Pro console. With AMD releasing FSR 2.0 soon I'm hoping good results for the standard PS5 too if devs start to use it.

Who gives a shit if Nintendo wants to sell games or not. If they are so petty as to punich gamers then they can stick their eshop where the sun dont shine. Yuzu and Ryujinx ftw.

still no fix for the stutter on pc. I doubt if they even aknowledged it as a problem.

They may have struck gold with the Dark Souls genre but they certainly aren't skilled enough to be classed as the best. The archaic game engine and mechanics used in their latest game are not exactly state of the art. Your character can't even climb a small wall in Elden Ring..

Let's see them create a brand new engine that beats UE5 or Frostbite before calling them the best.

Even Skyrim looked better 10 years ago. Not sure how this is getting such high scores.

I agree. Apart from fixing the bugs they haven't really improved anything. Sure some of the graphics are improved but what about the AI and NPC's? Compare it to the GTA series and it's not in the same generation as GTA 3, let alone the current gen.

They used the RT shadows whic is pointless since normal shadows are good enough. RTGI would have been the best RT effect to use on consoles.

He really is one of the worst versions of Spiderman but has been carried by the franchise and Marvel.

It's sad that none of the game to movie translations are faithful to the originals and not worth watching. Sony should have at least tried with Uncharted but absolutely chose the worst guys for the lead roles. They look nothing like the Uncharted game characters.

They also made the rasterized lighting look far worse than it should be. It's like half of the areas have extra spot lights to make everything look lighter so RT in comparison looks realistic. Nvidia sponsored so to be expected.

Free to play games are designed to make money through MT. If no one bought anything then the game won't run for long since the cost of running servers would be unsustainable.

According to Pachter, EA bought Respawn for $700m 4 years ago and they actually generate $700m per year. Bungie's annual revenue is around $200-$300m which is quite a bit less but Sony payed alot more for them. Sony must have seen potential to increase that further otherwise it does look like an expensive purchase.

Sony should be very careful how they spend the money. Panic buying is not a great way to compete if Bungie doesn't show us anything new to justify their...

Best to buy the disc version. I know Microsoft are trying their best to move everyone to a subscription system and Sony will follow if everyone buys digital only. Keep discs alive for as long as possible.
