Why would anyone need Steam to run Dolphin anyway? It works fine as a standalone download.
Pure corruption taking place imo. The judges son works for MS. A promotion is on the way for the guy no doubt.
Fanboys can never see the bigger picture until it hits them in the face. Once MS has control of the market, GAAS will be compulsory. Nvidia fans keept buying Nvidia gpu's and made them almost a monopoly and now prices are out of control and I suspect MS controlling the gaming market will force GAAS upon us quickly.
I reckon players would welcome the ability to sell the games they never play or have completed. When everything goes digital it is a welcome feature that would allow gamers to recoup some of the cost to put towards a new game.
Smaller countries are always open to bribes. MS can easily buy officials in countries where corruption is the norm.
They will never achieve the sales they could have got if it released on all platforms. The Series S version will leave a bad impression for sure.
The only devs worthy of redemption is Hello Games. They are still giving out free expansion updates to No Man's Sky.
The game is still crap dude. Apart from fixing some bugs they have done nothing to improve immersion. The NPC's are still mindless zombies. They still cannot match the AI in GTA 3 let alone something like GTA5.
People bought the game so the devs ran off instead of fixing it for them.
So instead of fixing the issues they decided to run. Cowards.
Those opposed to the deal with play the games on PC without even paying for them if it goes ahead ;)
This is all BS to try and get FTC to pass the Activision deal. If they actually believed in what they are saying then Starfield and Redfall would have been released on PS5.
They should have set an example for Sony and others to follow but they did total acquisitions which is far worse than the timed exclusive deals that have been the norm for a long time.
Bethesda was not $7B.
He just buys out the devs and makes the games permanently exclusive instead.
What a slippery toad.
The fact that they want to kill off a competitor is all we need to know that a Microsoft monopoly would be disastrous for gamers. Don't fancy being forced to pay a subscription to play games.
Damage control.
It's to do with consoles in development. If Sony gave performance specs of the PS6 to Activision then MS would know what they are up against and improve the next Xbox specs to handily beat it.
Not sure buying out established developers and thier franchises equals 'finding an edge'. If they had developed some high calibre new IP's then it would be something but all they have done is taken well known developers and their games off the Playstation platform.
It's obvious MS already lost otherwise they wouldn't be desperate to buy out major publishers to keep games such as Elder Scrolls and MW off Playstation.
If they are desperate to sell then that means they are struggling or know things will go south eventually. No company would try to find buyers if they were growing.
