If it's not coming, it's probably due to the fact it's a port of a 3 years old game that was already released in USA. That would obviously not sell enough. Of course some fans like us would buy it, but that wouldn't be enough to go above the 100K sales.

170$ is basically a steal at this point. The 3DS will not fail. Just wait until it gets more first party title like Star Fox 64 3D (september 9), Super Mario 3D Land (november) and Mario Kart 7 (december).

Considering the PS3 and 360 are more powerful than the WiiU, I don't see why they should hurry to release their next-gen console. In fact, they can take their sweet time, they already have something that can compete with the WiiU and it's been out there for 5-6 years already.

I am thinking Nintendo can price the 3DS whatever they want at the moment because they're the only one with a new portable system on the market, so pricing it at 250$ to maximize profits while they're all alone isn't stupid.
You can expect them to lower their prices by the time the Vita comes out. The 3Ds will also have a lot of worthwhile first party title by the time the Vita comes out.
The reason we have no infos is because Level-5 are slow. The person who said it was gonna be localised said it in 2010, but he said not to expect it anytime soon.

I still want Versus XIII more than this. Hopefully, with XIII-2 and Type-0 completed, they might get more staff on Versus XIII and we will see the ps3 exclusive sooner than later.
