Thats why Microsoft needs to buy publishers. When you spent 500 millions or 600 millions on game, built with a new engine and after 5 or 6 years in the making the end result was this... Money doesn't mean quality games.
Anybody with any kind of gaming experience knows that you can't review games on promises. It never goes well.
Those games are huge. But gow would also move millions of consoles if they had supply. Thats why I didn't believe they would launch it this year.
The switch is at another level. Their sales won't drop that much, because they don't have competition with what they offer. Portable fun.
It just a question of supply. It always was. I know many can't accept that. But if there wasn't a supply problem the sales would much, much bigger. They got what gamers want from day one. Games.
Who is the company trying own 3rd party publodhers? Spending 80 billions!? Monopoly? You understanding that an average triple A game cost 100 millions. Microsoft could create 800 new ip with that kind of money. Why does Microsoft created so many studios and now is buying publishers? Why is Microsoft taking games from their biggest buyers? Do think Microsoft will stop here? Why do you think the Microsoft brand got such bad reputation worldwide?
Maybe, maybe not. This could also mean the declined of the Cod franchise....
Microsoft is willing to lose billions and try that strategy. They better prey it works. Not even they can lose billions after billions.
What if it was the way around? What about the next multiplat and next and next? Can Microsoft buy everything? Yes. That's the path you want? One huge corporation to rule us all?
Nintendo target gamers isn't the same as Sony. Really simple to see that. Why doesn't Microsoft create their own games. They have 30 plus studios? Why csnt Microsoft create a hit beside forza, halo and gears? Money isn't the problem...
Dude, this is the biggest seller in videogaming. You cant create a copy of Cod in a week. What is scary is that Microsoft is willing to lose billions from Sony market to put it on gp day one. Scary. The amount of money that Microsoft is willing to lose. I don't see any company in the world able to do this.
Dude, you know what's a publisher? That's why this deal is having so much problems to be approved. Because of what it means for gaming.
Dude, comparing wrong deals. And by the way spiderman was offered first to Microsoft.... They declined... Smart as usual.
I hope that gamers understand what this deal will mean for videogaming if is approved. The race to buy publishers will be on, not studios, but publishers. The division will be even greater between gamers. Sad times for gaming. It was so, so, so much better with Sega on gaming and what amazing games they created. In single gen are much much much better then 2 or 3 from Microsoft. But in this society, money buys everything, even total lack of hability to create new games.
Yeah right. Because the game isn't isn't made by Microsoft and was forever available to everybody
Everything since day one. Just Google it. Phil Spencer is the typical second hand car salesman. He will say whatever to sell something. From the power of the cloud, to the exclusives, sales don't matter, sp games are dead. The list is huge. But now we see the real plan.
60 % + play it on Sony machines
Saved. Omg. No games at launch, no games now, force to buy publishers to have games, even after already having tons of studios. Saved... What Microsoft want is the monopoly of videogaming. Easy to see. Can't beat them, buy them.
Nice job
Why just a cgi trailer when the game is coming next year? It's never good when studios do this.
