last i checked, the ps3 is doing mighty fine against a console with a 1 year head start.
last time i checked, bluray is also doing fine.
if people want a system that only has good shooters theres a choice for them.
if others want a console with blockbuster titles in practically all genres, excellent hardware reliability and the DOMINANT bluray capability right out of the box....there is a choice for that as well.
sony is starting its killing spree again.....Oh and lookit the time, its 2 years into the ps3's lifecycle. reminds me of the p1 and ps2, feels good to be a ps3 owner.

ZHUK will be remembered as a massive failure. HE has single handedly tarnished and degenerated the presence and reputation that the N4G logo use to hold, now it is a 3rd rate gamer site with 3rd rate info.

what wiliam baker fails to see is that the ps3 gains profits not only from games but bluray movies as well. All along, while the ps3 was sold at a bargain price(considering the next gen guts of the ps3) the blueray sales have been subsidizing the amount of money that sony loses on every ps3 console.
bluray domination allowed the price cuts. if hddvd was winning right now, sony would be in a heap of trouble. stuck with a 600 dollar ps3, bluray not taking off and billions investe...
i havent beat this yet, but i love blasting the volume while playing. I really do hate the souindtrack though. wish they would unlock bgm for us through the xmb. we sony supporters deserve it. /rant

yeah i agree, hddvd went belly up around october 2007.
titles such as superbad spidey 3, pixar movies, pirates........pretty much killed hddvd. I believe ever since fall of 2007, hddvd was on damage control knowing their ship was sinking.

seems dd is only ideal for small shows and programs, bandwidth limitation is evidently dd's downfall at the moment.
