Yeah that is true. By the time I pay for my ps4 $399+PS eye $59+PS plus $49. You still come out cheaper. Then you include Drivers Club which is a day 1 ps4 game available on PS+ and 5 free to play games and your good to go. Heck those 5 free to play games don't even need PS+ to work so many may just stick to those games until they can save up for more games. I'm still liking the fact that MS is trying to offer more for the X1. Got to respect them for liste...

New drivers would actually be very beneficial to consoles. I think Sony should make drivers up gradable. That's one way to future proof consoles for years to come. I still know people running all games on high or Ultra with great performance on a Nvidia GTX 560, with driver updates you can increase a card's overall performance, and keep it relevant for years to come. As long as the card is modern and capable of most modern features then drivers are ideal.
The ps4 is actually more than %50 more powerful than the X1. MS confirmed that 10% of of the GPU, 2 CPU cores, and 5 out of 8 of its sucky ram available for its games. Not only that but Sony also confirmed that they will be doing cloud gaming. So X1 has no edge . plus not every game will use cloud. Less than half will probably end up even using cloud.

The game pad is nowhere near as expensive as you think to justify the Wii u's price tag. They could drop the premium price down to $275-299 and still bring in money.

Yeah but why would he want to wait 8 years to do that? And besides exclusives talk. I love PC gaming but until KH3 and FF15 are announced for it and games like KZ and all the other IPs I have come to love from Sony then PC gaming will be secondary. PS3,PS4, PS vita, and 3ds are my go to devices for games first, then the PC

I honestly dont see Xbox 1 sales doing better for a number of reasons. First of all this policy change won't reach the masses to your basic consumers. Secondly money, the PS4 with a year membership to PS+ is a far better value and more affordable than X1 with a year of gold.
So by the time we factor in Europe and Japan XBox will be extremely far behind. Now that Sony will competing in NA from day one Xbox 1 won't have any advantages.
Uhh the ps4 has 1.84 tera flops and the X1 has 1.2. The difference is so big with that extra .60 you could either render more worlds or use that for better textures, performance, and or physics. And 10% of the X1 GPU and 2 cores on the CPU are for kinect functionality. Launch games may not show it now but future games will have the competitive edge on PS4 by a great margin. Better hope MS doesn't have to down clock their specs or they'll be on Wii U's turf

Lol not even. MS was caught using High end Nvidia GTX 780 cards with probably a 3rd generation i7 CPU. A Nvidia GTX 780 is hardly similar.
