Xbox is definitely playing catch up because this is their 2nd event before launch and Sony still has a 2nd event scheduled for August with supposedly the other half of their first and 2nd party exclusives.

The problem from what I was hearing is a ton of stuff that was in the initial reveal is no longer in the game or was changed.
Oly problem is the game will be available to play day one on ps5, but they said no enhancements will be on it except most likely faster loading screens that the ps5 enables automatically just because of the SSD speed and no optimizations until 2021 I believe they are releasing a next gen patch for it.

To be fair the last of us never set up a sequel at all. It was a very good ending that surprised everyone who played it.

That's fundamentally wrong according to Shawn layden and why he's saying shorter games are the way to go. Basically he's saying longer games should cost more than $60 without DLC and expansions.
