Honestly it's been like that a while especially on early access games on steam or kickstarter and indie gogo. They usually give their backers a code to play early and it leaked over into console games a few years back.

I really hope this shakes up not only Activision, but ubisoft as well. They've been not doing shit for too long for some of the same accusations. EA is next, they already are hated universally.

@therapeutichawk I feel like the American journalists and media are the only ones who actually hate playstation because they don't like how their team Microsoft can't get a W. I've been playstation since before the original Xbox launched so I've always been for the IP they procured over the decades. These younger kids just grew up with halo and they hate how playstation dominates their mascot. They forget 152 million people enjoyed gaming before halo/gears/ forza.
Just as I've said, game dev costs keep rising and the cost of the games after 15 years should go up a bit. At least for inflation if nothing else. Indie devs can't keep up because they don't have hundreds of millions to make and advertise their games. Since they can't make their games up to the same standard, they get blown under the rug against ubisoft games for instance.

It's funny how the console supported indies all last Gen as well as the vita, and then a couple people just get bored and start posting how playstation hates indies and the entire media and journalists jump on the band wagon to say sony doesn't support indies. If you follow their Twitter or YouTube channel, it has like 10 indies spot lighted every single day on both of them. Been like that for years.

Well the playstation 5 is the fastest selling home console in gaming history. I don't know why they are kicking the Xbox series launch though. It's a good thing for them.
