I think this is a great time to be gamers.... I'm sometimes a PS3 fanboy but accept that this game may compete with UC2 for GOTY, I mean it has trophies, (sometimes) better graphix, PSN is now on par with Live... what's not to love?
On another note, I also think that PS3 exclusives have to do MUCh more to get 10's, being original, innovating, etc... while MW2, which is just fun but not original, gets all the 10's.
Anyways, all MW2 haters out there, buy it a join the ran...

This is disgusting, but I've been supecting it for a while. I heard stories that if you don't give X game a high score, then maybe they won't let you an early hands on with their next big game... and that's a disaster for any magazine. So they must keep the companies happy.

Yep it seems videogames are starting to get accepted, which is cool, but I think its also natural as our generation (the gamers)grow up and become the "leading people" of our society. What I mean is that until now the leading society was formed by our parents who had never played videogames, now we are taking this role and the social stigma is going away.
Still, I remember when I was in school and only a few of us were playing Zelda: Oot (1999)... everyone else was like...

can you beleive it? Edge score bringed down the score of Uncharted 2 to 96. Well, they finally did it, who else would rte it the same as ODST while giving KZ2 a 70?
Oh well I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Currently in Nepal and I've just been OMGWTFBBQQ's a few times (the part with the blue torch I though it was amazing, I think it he first time i felt completely inmersed in a game... complete silence, that blue light... incredible)

Considering that the leap between GT5P and GT5 is enormous, grapix in Forza 3 seem quite pathetic... although it's true that with a machine like the 360, that's probably the maximum it can pull.

I agree with him in many parts, for example I remembered Ocarina of Time as the best game of all time bar none, and I recently played it... While it is indeed an incredibly good game, i didn't blew me away (again), and honestly now I prefer GOW2 (which is like and adult themed zelda in a way).
So yeah I think nostalgia is bad in some ways, but of course I'm longing for New S...
coming from Edge is excelent. This looks like game made for me, I'm a masochist who likes playing GOW in Titan Mode, DMC in DMD, Uncharted in Crushing... so this is defintely going to be one of my GOTYs xDDD. Too bad I'll have to import it... they cold bring it to Europe stupid SCEE
I abandoned some time for KZ2 until I got platinum, now I came back and it's such a unique game, it simply makes me happy lol. An absolute masterpiece.
BTW, I'm trying to get my last 2 trophys to Plat it (Party Person and Booty Master, I also need the 3-coop bubbles at the Bunker xD)

I consider myself even a PS3 fanboy, but some of the crap I read here makes no sense. The review at cnet is a harsh one, but aren't you tired of hearing how wonderful UC2 is? We all now it's probably worth a 97, but that doesn't mean it hasn't any flaws, as he pointed.
Besides, NOBODY here has played UC2, and although based on the beta I can already give it around a 9 and probably a 10 to the full game, we still can't judge it.
that's so nice since I actually got Platinum yesterday, I absolutely LOVED crushing mode, for some reason I love ultra hard modes and this (compared to Elite mode in Killzone 2 or especially Titan mode in God of War 2) wasn't bad at all... the Unlocking the past chapter was annoying though ;)
man, we have to hand it for nintendo. Even though now they're all with that casual Wii crap, they saved the industry with the ROB+Nintendo combo and with that /very wise) decision of Nintedno seal of approval.
And the Super Nintendo was the first console I ever bought, along with Zelda LttP. Waiting for a HD Zelda, maybe in 5 years? hehe
