I'm glad that MS are picking up blu ray for next generation. Disc swapping can get a bit annoying sometimes especially after you just came in from a hard day of work or football practice. Seems like there's a disc for each option on the main menu for most 360 titles nowadays.
Single Player-Disc 1
Multiplayer- Disc 2
Cutscenes and The Making Of- Disc 3
Anywho, can't wait for Halo 4.
@ Chucky
More sales, more games. Good to see the Ps3 doing well.
And it looks like the Ps3 outsold the Xbox360 WW on the console front as well (If VGchartz is legit today, it looks like the PS3 is only back by 1.8 million units). Sales increased by 4%. Glad that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 sold well too.
Sweet news. I wonder if Microsoft will continue to make new exclusive IPs and support the 360 till 2015 as well? I hope they do, but great news for PS3 owners.
I wonder why Forza 3 or 4 didn't sell as much as GT5 if it's somehow better? I also like how your logic differs from the logic you had on NPD, fiscal report sales of the 360 and the Halo series ("People vote with their money on which system is better and as you see here...", "Killzone sales..Halo sales", etc), FordGTGuy.
Edit: Gran Turismo 5 Prologue even sold more than Forza 3 and 4.
Or expensive.
MS didn't have a problem selling their 4GB bundles to casual gamers especially with games that required mandatory installs. I think Sony won't have much trouble pushing the 12GB model. You can always use a bigger hdd as confirmed by the official Sony site.
Guess it necessary for my cousin since he's selling his Xbox360 for one to play The Last of Us. Thinking about picking up one myself for the dining room.
Games were so fresh and creative back then, the majority of them felt like you were actually playing something new. Seems like all we experienced from this generation were first person/third person based shooters with the same formula. Just the rush that you got when you played MGS, RE2/SH2, Oddworld,....or whatever game you were into back then really feels missing and it sucks. *smh* Hopefully The Last of Us will change that for me.
@ iamgoat
Actually the PS3 kinda does. The PS3 leads the 360 by as much as 4.3 million in Europe. Guess the UK's 11k sales for the 360 each month didn't make the difference this year.

@ MadMen, Videoxgamexfanboy, Mustang, midnight.
Wow, alot of spinning here today.
USA actually doesn't equal the world. The 360 only held down 48% of the sales in the US this month and Xbox360 hardware sales were down by 37.3% (According to Neogaf that puts the PS3 at 140k-150k units sold for the month. Only a 40k difference between the Ps3 and 360. Source: http:/...
The only thing that bothers me is the "open platform" part. Wouldn't having something so open like that make it easier for glitchers to exploit and cheat on games?
@ Blastoise
Word. Wonder if this new hardware is an upgradable console of some sort. But that would be too similar to a PC wouldn't it?
Yeah, it's gotten really bad at neogaf. There's so many misquoted and lame "why you shouldn't buy so and so game/comsole" threads there. Even the official game threads are extremely negative (For all console exclusives). You can barely get any good thread discussions in.
Why Yochi? Give me Final Fantasy versus 13!!!
Great read. Resident Evil 6 is looking good.
@ Mika
You do know that VHBL is used to pirate PSP games right? They were trying to used VHBL to pirate Vita games as well (Remember that hacker guy who would release a name of a game that allowed VHBL and Sony would have to remove it from the store, this is why VHBL is blocked).
LBP Vita and Fifa 13 for me.
This game looks pretty fun.
Great walkthrough, Hidden.
