Every new Sony console always have a rough first year..but the media this time around wanted to see the mighty Sony fall on there faces...but Sony did quite well in 07 considering all the obstacles they had to overcome with the PS3..and the PS3 will own 2008..Blu Ray will emerge victorious..and all the nay-sayers will have to eat all the sh!t they said about the PS3

but the who the hell is the reviewer literally never heard of them..
this is by far the best game i've played all year other than GOW2..
and everyone should experience what this game has to offer...truly the first True Next Gen experience..!!

UMM you do realise that they had the entire global market to themselves..for an entire year right....and there sales have slowed everywhere else other than NA after the PS3/Wii launched....so apparently the rest of the world...isn't really following ..!!
and yes I will agree that NA does matter to M$ more than it would for Sony/Nintendo but that's because it's really the only country where there console is selling well...if they don't pass 15 mill by the end of next year in NA....
Just remember that NA doesn't count for everywhere else..!!
The PS3 has been outselling the 360 everywhere else outside of NA..but the 360 remains competitve...so ur logic is flawed..
and im sure the PS3 will definetly give the 360 a run for it's money in NA and worldwide sales this holiday....and how about we make those kinda predictions next holiday season...cuz the PS3..is just in it's first year alot of the most wanted/must get games aren't even out yet..!

I can see the PS3..360 ..Wii ..PS2..PSP , and DS..seling well this holiday...
The DS will easily sell the most..then the Wii...PSP will be right behind them..and the PS3 and the 360..will be neck and neck...too close to call right now..and the old faithful PS2..will probably sell close to a million in the month of December...!!

I don't think you should compare NG2 to MGS4.....NG is not a huge seller nor a system seller....it's a good game/challenging game..and that's it...and MGS4 is just one of the heavy hitters can M$ compete game for game with Sony in 2008...that's what we mean when we say Sony owns 2008..M$ just doesn't have that many must have / established titl...
well as you should already know is that every PS console has a steep learning curve at the beginning remember when the PS2 just launched..?
