Gimme bubbless. Roarrrr.
CRank: 5Score: 37690

That would be true, but the scores from today's gaming journalists only go from 5 to 10. 7.5 is the average.

5(and below) means an atrocious game. They're all the same score.
6 is bad, but functional.
7-8 is OK. Passable.
9-10 means the game was good to great OR the site is displaying ads from that game right now so real opinions can not be voiced.

That is the true grading rubric for this gen. It's a sad state of affairs...

I have Gears, and my next purchase will either be Rayman Origins or Skyrim. Or both at the same time. I'm undecided.

It's is the most wonderful time of the year.

When I go broke from all the great games. :D

To be fair, it has been getting a fair amount of 7s as well. With the inflation in review scores - those reviewers are basically stamping it with mediocre. Since the scale goes from 5 to 10 now, basically.

That's not to say I agree in any way that it is mediocre. It's Assassin's Creed, and reviewers obviously can not be trusted.

I would honestly take another look at Rayman Origins, if I were you. It's beautiful, and packed with content.

It's hard to know what will translate to fun. This perk doesn't sound bad in theory, but in practice it didn't end up being the greatest thing ever.

Why does he care? No one pays attention to the user score anyways.

Personally, I think you kind of ask for this when the good people of the team leave and you decide to stick around and just release their games with only a few tweaks. I don't care enough to go post low scores on metacritic, though. MW3 has their dedicated followers, and the game is undoubtedly polished and pretty and addicting, so who am I to blame them anyways? Plus, it's Activision, no one expects...

In my opinion, GTA IV pales in comparison to some of the older GTAs. Well, in every aspect other than graphics, at least.

Not to say you shouldn't get it for a low price, but I just don't think it's the right GTA to show you how magical the series really is.

It depends on the game. In certain games boss fights make sense and they're done well - so it's perfection to have them. Otherwise, no. Boss fights for the sake of boss fights isn't a winning recipe.

Such flawed logic. Every pirated copy does not equal a sale lost. You can not know for sure if they were actually going to purchase it at all, and you can't know if those people who pirated a copy did not also purchase a copy, or aren't going to in the future.

I would looooooooooooooove a sequel to Brutal Legend. They could fix all the issues and just release the game it should have been in the first place.

Which is all I want. It would be one of the most perfect games! Hilariousness, killing emo kids, and Jack Black. Amazing stuff.

Huh. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record got a 9.5..

Higher than I thought. I might hafta look into it!

Gameplay is by far the most important as most people have said.

Graphics and online being important is dependent on the game. For a game like Gears of Halo, the single player is important and the gameplay is still king, but online is also suuuper important.

Graphics are usually just icing on the cake, and generally fall last within my degrees of importance. But certain games amazing graphics add a lot. Like Uncharted. So beautiful, it really added so much to ...

Wasn't there just an article on here about how new IPs aren't dead because Rage did really well week 1?

Only took them .. years and years.. for it to not be an issue.

Hopefully Skyrim doesn't have the issues that all the other Bethesda games have had at launch.

But we'll see. Huge, dense worlds = lots of room for error, so I'm usually forgiving.

What a joke. This nonsense is completely unacceptable.

So I'm guessing you've never made a single mistake - ever - when purchasing anything from anywhere. Kudos to you.

However, this single case of bad customer service is not isolated. At all.

I personally love Steam. I think the service they provide is amazing, I think the convenience is amazing, and I think the deals they have are also amazing.

Their customer service, however - definitely not amazing. It's honestly a joke. I think it will end up hurting them over time, especially since more competition is popping up, and Steam definitely isn't the only places for sales. If you google Steam Customer Service and then look at the steampowered forums, bad custo...

I think whatever ill feelings people are feeling towards BioWare are justified. They're veering away from everything their core audience loves, and it's expected that that same audience is going to be upset. I don't see how it could go any other way.

I hope they reverse their current trend, and get back on the correct track.
