You don't use that big of a goddamn sword if you want to be stealthy. You'd use a dagger.

Platinum Games doesn't do "cheap" combat.
B-level story is a valid concern, though.

I don't knoww. If he wanted to actively make the game a challenge to himself - like never using a shield, never picking up hearts except for potions, he wouldn't need to be playing Hero Mode at all -- and hence why Hero Mode isn't worth the time.
Hero Mode implied an actual difficult mode of playing the game. When it hands you win-the-game-free items, it loses that difficulty, and the sense of accomplishment goes with it.

They could implement a P2P alternative. It won't be as smooth, but it would at least be functional.
And on their games, the new boxes all say it comes with an online pass. I've never scoured for fine print on the box since I don't buy EA games. Unless Mirror's Edge 2 comes out. I would be more than annoyed if I bought a new copy rather than pre-owned only to find out that the online pass had expired in the box.

If I have kids, unless they were little losers, I bet I'd be fine with them playing Left 4 Dead or Resident Evil around a young age as long as I am "supervising" aka playing too. Plus, the violence in zombie games isn't all that bad, and you're only going after the monster. Also, Halo is fine too. Anything zombies or monsters or .. Spartans / Elites is fine. :D

There is no chance at all that Valve would abandon their PC fanbase. Literally 0.0% chance.
I doubt that they would make it a PS3 exclusive with regards to the console version and not release on 360. They'll prioritize the PS3 like Portal 2, but they won't do away with the 360 version completely. There's like a 1.2% chance of that happening.
It's no matter anywayss, I'll get Half Life 3 for PC since it just makes sense to. :P
Amaaazing game. But, you also have to think it's multiplatform.
Wii isn't the console of choice for the majority of gamers - I had the choice of getting it for 360 or Wii and I chose 360. I would never buy a game for the Wii that wasn't a Wii exclusive.
The only shockers were Deus Ex: HR and Forza 4. Their metacritic score is greater than or equal to 90.
The others listed were low to mid 80s. If you are not AAA with at least a 90, your sales are going to suffer since there are so many huge releases with great scores.
I'm not saying these are bad games that don't deserve more sales. I'm just saying in a market flooded with AAA titles, you can't make a not perfectly stellar game and expect it...
I wouldn't pay for them, then. :)
