I doubt you can call your GPU beast, when a mid range GPU that came out the same year can beat you (750)
Or when a 5 year old high end card beats you (480)

The purpose of early access is to patch the game with the help of community.
Something that you better not do on consoles, cause the developer will have to pay 40,000$ for every update of their game on consoles.

That is the reason Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike Global Offensive, Payday 2 get their updates late, or never at all on consoles.
That is the reason the content of games on pc, like Witcher 2 or Left 4 Dead 2 was given out to gamers on pc for free, wh...

Pretty sure both Fable 1 and 3 were on pc. Now i am happy that Fable 1 finally gets a digital release. But i kind of want to try out the most praised Fable - Fable 2

The game sold 2 million copies. And that's all digital. 30$ each. That's 60$ million. 30% of the sales go to Valve. The rest to the publisher. So that makes 42$ million.
I will be damned if they won't finish the game with that kind of money.

War Z used false advertisement. In the end the game got taken down from steam and people that wanted to get a refund got it.

It's not Crytek Frankfurt who will be developing Homefront 2.(they created Crysis, Far Cry and Ryse)
It's Crytek UK. They will be developing the game.
They were formerly known as Free Radical Design. Known for their Timesplitters franchise. Crytek saved it from bankrupcy. As Crytek UK they made multiplayer for Crysis 2 and 3. And are working on the upcoming Homefront 2.
Well, lets hope their skills didn't get too rusty. The multiplayer of Crysis 2/3 was pre...

BTW, on pc you only have to pay to distributors
Steam never officially said how big their cut is
But the creator of Minecraft(Notch), said he won't release it on Steam cause Valve takes 30% of the sales.

in Steam Store, the lowest prices are in Russia and CIS regions and in Brazil. Usually an AAA at release is like 20$

Console charge you for updates. The first update is free, the rest are $40,000 for each update. That's why consoles never get free stuff. Games like Left 4 Dead, Witcher 2, CSGO, Team Fortress 2, simply either never had these updates, or that content was put into dlc's, to justify the cost for each update.

That's also the reason why most indie devs dismiss consoles, and release exclusively on pc.

totalbiscuit did a video on this game
His rig straggled running the game on ultra at a stable 60 fps. He has 2 Titan's btw.
He also reported really slow loading times(and he was running that game on an SSD)
ps: he did install the latest nvidia drivers

What's your point?
Every platform has exclusives.
PC for example has The Forest, Star Citizen, Red Orchestra, Natural Selection, Chivalry.
Project Eternity which is developed by Obsidian will come only on pc
Star Citizen, developed by creator of Freelancer. Funded by kickstarter, already has 53 million $.
Kevin Levine decided to go the indie route so probably his games too will be released only on pc too(most of his titles up to bioshock were only o...

Well, you do know that if you buy Windows OS just once, it's your forever. You can install it on any machine, as long as only 1 machine is using it.(you will have to deinstall it from one machine to install the os to the other)
Come on, that windows 7 disk is somewhere dusting amongst the piles of your junk. Go look for it, it will save you 100$

1 great thing about building a pc is that you can reuse the parts from your previous pc. Disk Drives, Optical Drive, mou...

#1 You have to pay 60$ a year to access online content. Considering that there are such games like Destiny and The Division, you would probably pay the subscription
In 7 years, you will pay 420$

#2 The reason why PC gaming exists is because people want to see the full quality of the game and have it run smoothly.
Overall, console gaming could never deliver that. Their hardware would wear out really fast. Here is an example(watch in HD)

Well, pc gaming is pretty good at giving profit to indie developers, and free2play models work really well.
#1 You don't have to buy an SDK to make games for pc.
#2 And you don't have to pay to patch the game.
ps: you ever wondered, why sometimes publishers would put dlc content to the disk, but not let you access it. Well, it's so that they could make an easy buck.
#3 PC is mostly about digital distribution. Developers don't have to waste money...

Guess #1: Take2 wants to make so profit
Recently there been news of pc's revenue surpassing console's.Plus in 2014 Valve announced that steam has more then 75 million active users(compared to 2010's 25 million)

Guess #2: Rockstar doesn't want their game to get forgotten
Eventually it will be hard to find both the 7th gen consoles and the games for it. And in the end, digital distribution will be the only way to keep it alive.
