How about developers charge $10 for a game, or better yet, make it free, and then charge a monthly fee? It's ridiculous having to pay retail value and then a monthly subscription.

I'm American. Who wants to lose when you're suppose to win? On the other hand, anyone ever play Red Faction? It has a cool concept. The premise is what would have happened if WWII never ended, and Japan is split between Socialism and Fascistism.

That's actually a good idea. The only reason why I want the new NBA2K game every year is because of the rookies, trades and stat differences.
It probably all boils down to money. These professional sports games are hot commodities. Also, featuring the NBA Finals MVP on the cover probably produces a massive amount of sales.
It isn't as appealing buying an NBA video game featuring Tim Duncan on the cover from three years ago.
