I'm glad they added "Focus" to the game. It balances the difficulty and makes the overall feel of the game much more realistic. Similarly, it adds a bit of strategy, especially when you regain some of it back when the player doesn't use the power, spin, putt preview, etc. Nice upgrade from last year's title.
Noice! I'll be enjoying the film and have a hardon at the same time!
This game is so freakin awesome my head exploded all over the walls, and now the vampires are swarming bedroom to get a taste of my spicy meat sauce! Gah, that's how fun this game is.
While the selling point of this game is a bit gimmicky and a bit too Michael Bay-ish, there is definitely something satisfying about the environment destruction.
I for one hope to see in the future that AAA games begin to faze out a bit and hope industrial improvements begin to bolster the strength of games that fall into the $10 - $20 range. It's a bit ridiculous how much we have to spend on games now a days.
The racing avenue is mediocre, but being able to customize your own tracks and share them over the interweb and allowing others to mess around with your creations is where the fun is at.
Gradually over the years, WRPGs have really started to reign over JRPGs, and to take a stance on such a subject is really interesting in my opinion. Really interesting read and a some pretty valid points.
Indie type games / free games are where devs have the freedom to explore the realms of gaming. Because the pressure isn't on them to make a profit, they have the freedom to experiment.
On the other hand, because AAA titles are under pressure to deliver a quality product, they're forced to limit their creativity and sometimes substitute that with patterns, gameplay, style, etc with what has been done in the past.
I agree that we need to criticize games based on what they have to offer and how they make us feel, but the fact is that games are not free. If games were free, we'd see the dramatic shifts like the ones you mentioned, and indy games would probably have a much stronger presence in the industry.
Unfortunately, when people pay for something, they come to expect certain things. When you go to a movie, you expect the film to be at least 90 minutes. When you play a two hour...
Best game for the Wii so far. Feel like this review is a bit low.
I'm a bit weary of these types of things. Charging people for "extended demos" and then being charged for the full retail price of the game. On the other hand, it's an aggressive move and something worth applauding if it works out. Just seems like the kinks and details needed to be ironed out better.
Way to destroy my childhood. It's kind of like discovering a dildo on the box cover of the Little Mermaid. Thanks man, I officially hate you.

Completely agree. It really does remind me of a Total War game, and those are FUN!
While subtle improvements have been made, the game's controls are still hard as F*** to maneuver.
Oh Theme Hospital. I remember playing this game on the original Playstation. In the later levels, the hospitals would be so booming that the PS1 couldn't handle all the commotion. The result, it always froze on me. The only console game to ever do that.
Another reason to shake my head at GameStop; it's no wonder why they're closing down all over the country.
Unless Gamespot has done something over the past month, it's kind of odd seeing it take over IGN of all the popular gaming sites.
I've been a bit skeptical about this game since the previous two were so awesome, but I have to hand it to Sony, they set a new mark with this game.
Mark another chapter in the Final Fantasy saga. In all honesty, is this game really comparable to the others to warrant a the Final Fantasy title?
Looks as epic as ever!
