It's a style of game. I'm not getting any more tired of it than I am Uncharted's 3rd person combat or Bethesda's open world exploration. These are the kind of games they make. Take it or leave it. Plus I'm still holding out hope for a new Telltale Borderlands game. Because it was amazing.

Dying is a relative term. Did it sell 50 million. No. But it didn't need to? Will it be less next year. Maybe. Maybe not. It's still the biggest selling game of this year and last year and the year before that. Best not to wish for rain in the desert.
It's almost as if the industry tried to get everyone to invest in expensive new hardware with noting but a bunch of full priced game demos showing off how cool future games might be in the distant future when there are enough owners to justify AAA development. Have fun with the wait early adopters. If it ever comes.
