I hit disagree! But that's because I do. I don't think there's anything wrong using community created games as a basis for new products, in fact I think that's the best way to go. Half these Valve community guys operate at a developer level anyway, why not utilise their talents?!!

I think you're slightly missing the point. You can hardly call him an idiot. He's created some of the best, not to mention most ambitious, games of this gen and last. You haven't even played his latest game and you're already damning him because of a media reputation. Get over yourself, the man's a great developer.
I don't know if this really matters that much. There are lenty of games that ship on two discs these days and I'd much rather have that than have Ubisoft crunch everything down to fit on one tiny DVD. It's not a big deal. Just swap the discs over when it asks, done. I never minded going through the ten Amiga discs trying to get Monkey Island to work!
It was probably more a combination of things, I'd like to think the Dr's had a thicker skin than that. They're creative people, they must have had negative feedback before.
They should work on a game that I don't have to build levels for. I don't buy games to build my own content, that's what I'm paying for! ;)
