With a good($100-$200) price cut and all the games that are coming up Sony might be able to sell 8-10 Million consoles by the end of the year.
Nobody really knows how much the production cost went down in the past 8 months and if Sony is losing any money on the PS3.

Yes i agree. But if Killzone looks and plays better than Halo that the media would include that in the hype of Helo. It would be free publicity for Sony. That doesn't meant that it will happen but it could happen.

I have the Samsung LNS469D it is not 1080p but most of the games are 720p and the picture looks amazing in high def.
Wii will sell good for he next 12 to 18 months and after that the sales should freeze. That is just my opinion. There is no way that they can keep that momentum going for much longer.
Epic already said that UT3 will be the game where they show what they can do with the PS3. Once both games are out we will be able to see if one plays or looks better .

I am a PS3 fan but the game could go to the 360 if it does not sell enough copies in the first 6 months. I think it will be based on that. It is up to the PS3 fans to keep it exclusive.
Sony goes by the number of shipped consoles. They were planing to ship 11 Mil consoles by the end of the year. If some of the game that are coming out by the end of the year are as good as some of us hope that could help sell some PS3`s. If Sony gets lucky they may sell a total of 8-10 Mil PS3 by the end of the year.
