This is where I give my credit to MP games developing for the PS3. As far as Next-Gen is concerned MP games are pushing the throttle on the PS3. And that is where it starts. Sony puts out good reliable hardware with good repair quality. When looking at the hardware aspect of it you know you can't go wrong with Sony. Most parts are designed by Sony and manufactured by a Sony partner.
Microsoft on the other hand is a software company that at times can be unreliable, easily pirated, and hacked, with security holes. But all in all is User friendly. On the Hardware side of things, which MS does not have a true grip on is...
Either this will be a very short game (1 Disc)which FF is not really known for, or this will be a long game with a lots of disc swapping (360 only). I am predicting a lot of disc read errors when this game releases.
Money Happened!! A slowly ageing franchise (the last FF game did not gain much audiance from its previous FF game) the budget on developing FFXIII more than likely a monster $$$ and a slow growing PS3 audience is not enough to pay SE for the development.
A note to all XBox 360 owners, if you want to play MGS4 this bad just do what I did, buy a PS3 w/MGS4 and PLAY it.
The Colors look better on the 360 but I noticed that in the driving sequence the PS3 seems smoother than the 360.

That it is credible when they were talking about it the ohter way around. (5 PS3 Games that 360 fanboys wish they could play) because about half of those games listed have a chance of making it to PC giving PS3 fanboys a chance to play it if we do not have an XBOX 360. Which is why most Sony console fans choose not to purchase Microsofts console (not because we dislike the console, but because a lot of cases the system is irrelevent) with 50% of the biggest titles come on the PC.
I tend to agree with him.
The Wii is cripled with lack of third party support. It is outselling because of the fad. It is the family box. You pull it off of the shelf turn on and have some family fun. The fad will continue until the next best family thing comes along, or when the 1st party games become repetative. When 1st party support starts working on the 2nd Gen games Nintendo Wii sales will go from 85 MPH to 20 MPH in 60 sec.

Some time ago I think I remember maybe Phil Harrison demo'd that this sort of thing would be avoided due to an approach and proximity perk in it. I am not in the closed beta so I am not sure if this is true.

I noticed something in regaurds to this.
In MGS3 during a save. Para-Medic starts a conversation with Snake regaurding movies. She starts off telling Snake that soon (since this happens during the 1960's) you will be watching movies on on your TV from a recorded tape. Then (as a Kojima humor spot) she states that you will even be able to play the characters in the movie and interact with the enviornment.

MGS4 is already a system seller Konami is already sold out of the MGS4 PS3 bundle. PS2 gamers will graduate to PS3 thanks to MGS4.
LBP will be a system seller since it will bring along a game that caters to all audience. The young and imaginative will find it unique.

Having a storage medium will just not suffice. Lets take a true gamers shelf for instance. He/She has about 50 Nintendo games still collecting dust on the shelf. 50 Sega Games collecting dust on the shelf 100 Playstation Games in there cases on the shelf, 300 PS2 games on the shelf, 150 XBOX Games on the shelf, All PS3 Games to this date on the shelf, All XBox 360 Games to this Date on the shelf. This deal has really reduced my replayability for the franchise. Without a competitor EA has no reason to reinvent Madden NFL Football and changing the name will just be a gimmick to say "hey we did something different". EA's track record is really starting to tick me off. This is bound to happen. MGS4, Killzone 2, LBP, and Resistence 2 will help the push over 9.5.

You forgot to mention that UBISOFT is pretty much the only developer that has the best method of porting games from one console to the other. If this report stands XBOX 360 can definitely expect HAZE.
Something else I can do with Eye Camara other than EOJ and making quirky movies.
