Rock Band 3 is pretty solid, so there is no need to rush out Rock Band 4. I'm content to the DLC as long as they keep getting big names. I'm still waiting for the Animals and Def Leppard. However, if they were to do another spinoff like they did for Beatles and Green Day, I wouldn't mind.

Those are two different things entirely. A psp is just a gaming handheld, a smart phone requires a contract with varying service providers and monthly bills and stuff like that and there are many different smart phones out now.
Whereas in the handheld gaming market its just DS and PSP. True you can play games on your smart phone or tablet, but odds are people are not buying them exclusively for gaming.

No one has mentioned it, but I can guarantee as soon as PSN goes back online, what is the first thing hackers are going to try to do? Hack them again, and this time they'll be firing on all cylinders.
Hell, I hope PSN comes back up with a better infrastructure than XBL, than Wells Fargo, than the friggin pentagon, but I'm saying I'm going to take my CC info off there, its PSN cards for me from now on, and wait and see just how the new infrastructure holds up.

That had me more interested than anything because it's most likely a brand new ip and if it's an original story or whatever that is going to break taboos in gaming in an intelligent way then I most definately want to learn more about it.

I agree but there's a problem with your logic. Most of the time Betas are free. Activision is not going to give anyone Call of Duty multiplayer for free. I could see them possibly sticking the beta onto another game like the Halo 3 beta with Crackdown. I could also see them putting it on Live to download and charging 5 or 10 dollars for access. But again, putting out a beta and taking their time to release a finished decent product is not a common practice for Activision.
I've admitted on many occasions that I am a Wii fanboy.
PS3 and 360 are just trying to play catch up to the Wii in both sales and tech. With the new motion tech they are trying to beat the Wii at it's own game.
Not only does the Wii have the best motion controls, but it also plays every single game in 480p. Not to mention the discs only need 4.7GBs of space, 8.54GB dual layer. It has backwards compatability which allows you to play Gamecube games ...

It is free roam, you'll just have to swap discs for the cases. It's free roam but you'll move up through the different crime desks and thats when you'll have to swap. There will also be random crimes occuring that you can stop, a la RDR with the damsel in distress and the bandits. Apparantly the city is very deep and detailed like Liberty City in GTAIV but has ambient events that occur from time to time like RDR. A nice blend.
