I actually played socom,, and guess what? I always go back to COD4, and honestly Im sick of playing COD but its the best game for shooters as of now. You play what you like, I play what I like. As long as there are games we both enjoy then nobody loses.
Its just not a great game. Im in the beta and I know that the full version offers alot more then the beta, but Im just talking about the gameplay. Its really slow, close range combat is a joke though, especially knifing. I think that third person shooters is a genre that needs to die. I mean, its great for single player games like Uncharted and Metal gear, but its such a mess for online.
But I have a friend that is high in the food chain at Treyarch, and he said they have a separate team working on the ps3 version. Also, alot of the guys at Treyarch helped in the making of COD4 as well. They all work together with each other to make sure we get the best possible experience they offer. Trust me, The ps3 version is gonna be as good if not even better then the 360 version.

Although I have been to prison myself, and I actually met a guy who killed a cop only get 5 years. Don't ask me how he did that cause I dont know, but this guy is obviously something that belongs in a horror flick. Their are too many AAA multiplat games this year too really say neither system has enough games. Honestly, their is only one exclusive from both systems that I want. Oh man,,, that is gonna suck for whoever buys that machine. I was playing on my 360 with the regular component cables, and yes even though it was in high def, I realized that my ps3 games looked 10 times better. But you really cant compare it too Pure. They are both different experiences. I think that both games are day one purchases, the only problem is that I dont know if the ps3 version of Pure will have in game soundtrack and voice chat for online. Which means I will have to get Pure for the 360, and definitely getting Motorstorm 2 for my ps3. I played the demo and it has just totally amazed me.
The only AAA game they have is the COD series. The only logical solution is to stay a third party and make the most money because they sell their games on every console including the pc in the video game market. They would be stupid to make their own console because they would be just a fraction of the market share then.
