doubtful of what? The big N's success? They've been successful since the 80's. So successful that they pretty much live in a different plane of existence. Which probably explains why all their first party titles, despite what brand, always seems far out there.

You're right, it's in direct competition with itself. It will be by their own hand that determines what happens to them this generation.
I took a chance and got the wiiU early not just because their were a few awesome games for it, but because I know that Nintendo always comes through when it comes to software, whether it be a AAA title or simple B budget games. I knew that I would fall in love with the Tab controller when they announced they were replacing the DS style analog sticks for regular ones that you can push in (L3, R3 retrospectively).
