Yeah your image is accurate, there is nothing wrong with using current tech and improving it, it's called progression. MS is acting like this has never been done before, the idea of you as the controller is new innovative and a load of BS. Pretending you are the first to do something when you are clearly not is just sad.

As far as motion controlled gaming is concerned, Kinect can't do complicated games because it lacks buttons and that is why it was all casual games. Sony's Move controllers have been shown to work with RTS games, FPS, TPS, racers and more. It is harder to think of a game type that Move CAN'T do.

Yeah especially if they wanted it to be a true media hub. They didn't have to add it for games because obviously they wouldn't work for previous models but for movies it only makes sense. Since it is the same price as the PS3 it only gives PS3 the advantage. If you have an HDTV and you are in the market for a console which do you chose?
Move is the best of both Kinetic and the wiimote. Accurate motion controller with precision as well as head and body tracking. The fact that it will work with LBP, Socom, GT5 means that it wont be for casuals only. WIN WIN

All Sony has to do is show gameplay footage from the games they they recently announced, LBP2, inFamous2, KZ3, Motorstorm3 then show some Move games, maybe unveil PSP2 and E3 is in the bag

That was live action and not CGI or even gameplay....
It doesn't seem future proof to me and that is where it falls short. Yeah they bundled in wifi and a HDD but the lack of bluray was dumb. Even though games couldn't take advantage of the bluray because they need to work on all 360s, it would have been nice to make it a complete home entertainment device for those who don't have PS3 or BD player. Especially since the newly redesigned console will sell at the same price as the PS3, the bluray gives the PS3 the upper hand.

It wasn't the presentation it was the content. They needed to show games games and more games.
Too much casual for anyone who would be keen enough to know what E3 is. The audience at E3 want's to see core games and Kenect didn't have any of that. I understand why MS would want to tap into the casual market, but in my opinion the E3 stage wasn't the place for it.
