Well the Ps3 has been out for almost 4 year so stand alone BR players would evenually surpass it but being the best BR player on the market wasn't it's only sell point. In Japan there is a new Macross movie and game coming out. Both on the same disc. The standalone BR player will play the movie but to enjoy them both you need a ps3. How does owning 3 consoles make you a "real gamer"? That's like me saying well I own all the brands of car so I'm a real driver. Owning 3 consoles and a pc doesn't make you a "real gamer". Kinect more accurate? I've yet to see a video of the kinect work right so far I just see it as a new way to navigate the dashboard all there are no hardcore games for it. Sony have shown hardcore games using the move. Socom, killzone 3, RE5, MAG and more. You want games go for wii? Are you serious? For each great game there are 10 horrible shovelware crap aimed at casuals.

The ps3 can handle mods on that level. (not without the help of a pc of course) Both the pc and ps3 versions of unreal tournement 3 can be modded. For the ps3 you just download the mod on a usb stick and import it. Characters, levels whatever.There is nothing wrong with the hardware I mean both the ps3 and 360 can out perform most home pc at the same price range.
