With Superbad and Pirates releasing today, its going to be another ugly week for HDDVD and yet another nail in the coffin.
It's 720p native but supports 1080i and 1080p (with upscaling). Its not native 1080p. Like it matters. Even if it was locked at 720p, this game will blow any other FPS out of the water on both consoles. Come next week, both the xbots and delaystations are going to be happy. Accept it and give each other a hug.....f'n clowns.
I've yet to pay $60 for any damn game. I just rent it and if I like, pay the keep it price of $45 or less. I picked up Rainbow 6 and GRAW2 for even less ($42/each). That being said, i'll jump on the PC version of this just to get into the beta and then pick it up for the PS3 when it drops.
Was the patch "In game" or something you downloaded/installed off the PS Store?

IGN has a preview up on the game. Looks promising. Especially the possibility of PC-PS3 interconnectivity, world domination mode, and "PvP anytime". Definitely has some potential.

Larger capacity is a good thing. Anyone saying different is an idiot. To think DVD9 is "good enough" and developers will have to get creative it pretty naive. Example? Gears of War. Sure it fit on DVD9. All 5 hours of gameplay.
They are hiring PS3 developers because if Crysis was to come to a console, the PS3 would be the only way. Why dumb down a great game by porting it to the 360?

Halo will be a good game but will no way stand up to what PS3 will offer. Bottomline, MS developed this game for a the lowest common denominator...the CORE system. I don't care what you say, you only can go so far with DVD9. Halo 3 will sell systems but don't expect the envelope to be pushed much further than that.
Quake Wars and Killzone will destroy this tired shooter.
