Yeah I notice in general it's mainly more 360 side of games than PS3, although there was a few Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 double XP weekends. They need more.
I personally like Ubisoft over other big publishers, they all have their faults though. Atleast they didn't play it safe and just announced sequel after sequel, they tried a new property, and it sort of worked, albeit with some holes in it.
After the first one i can understand, what happens though it gets amazing reviews from most the media? Would that change your mind?
Hopefully it's MUCH better than the first.
They aren't owned by nintendo, they are small dev though, they couldn't possibly make a big time game for PS3/360, maybe a PSN/XBLA title though.
Activision realizes the are bigger profits margins when you add a peripheral to the game. It's why almost all their big franchise have one, i'm surprised they somehow haven't made MW game with a gun or something.
These guys are really keen to see if there is a hardcore audience on the wii, or if not to try to grow such audience.
I agree totally, I was really hyped up for the first one, but it was so broken, especially on the PS3 at first before they patched up it a bit to make it workable.
But it got too repetitive and boring, but it was a good concept/story, so if those issues are resolved, with better missions, it could be a really fun game.
Here's hoping.
GEC,
If that's the case, wouldn't it make sense to ban them like everytime, at all times, rather than in one big swoop around the holidays, prior to a big launch, you would think that's a dead give away to pirates...
Rather than doing it right away when you know, or shortly after randomly.
And to the above,
Sony giving 10 000 Free Sony with a TV purchase, is EXACTLY that, thanks for proving it. Why else would they be doing that, out of the...
Is it me, or does this all some coincidental, by that I mean like they almost had this as plan.
Sony announces a price cut last month and new model, 360 does a smaller price cut (Elite)...
Then in October, offer some extra 50 dollar mail in rebate as a test. for likely something further/future.
To hope to match or beat PS3, it didn't happen in October.
So what do they do, prior to the lanuch of the biggest game in the industry, and it was a ...
Hey if Square Enix is using VGChartz in their presentations for estimations, then they must be doing something right.
Feral Gamer, very true, but you can say same kind of generalized things about Western RPGs, or any genre really...
Definitely need a variety....
Pretty good list, and obviously they couldn't list Msoft, do they even have much of a first party, they sold most of their internal developers, or they became independent.
Well all of Ubisoft big chips are either in Q4, or next quarter, so it's no wonder they are down now...
I was definitely talking only America, as in Europe/Japan, you know the story there.
But in US, 360 has a fighting chance...I agree with Pirate and yourself, 360 at 199/299 has probably exhausted most consumers who were willing to "jump in", while Sony at the new 299 has just started grabbing all those people who were waiting on a price cut or who were on the fence...
But if say 6 months from Msoft dropped it's price to 149/249, it'll attract a whole new ra...
While I agree with almost everything you said, I think 360 is in this battle as well, only like you stated price point, and 360 has a cheapest console out of them all with the 199.99 arcade, well I guess as cheap as the wii.
Wow Sony Vaio over priced, lost big market share there..
Plus with game division, loss of 600 million+ in 1 quarter...
But nice PS3 sales number, and clearly ahead if you line up PS3 worldwide numbers vs. 360, and behind 5-6 mill of 360, including the year head start.
Late Next year is probably 2010 Novemeber, quick does anyone know when Netflix and Msoft announced their partnership, that'll likely pin pointed the date when PS3 have an embed solution.
When is this service coming to Canada, US, and Europe, what about their CDN customers! :(
But congrats Europe.
Both are suppose to be the same, except PS3 has some PSP content that will be available on PS3, if you purchase the PSP game.
