not much better? about 66% more GPU power, and more faster ram for gaming mean not much better? The total system is about 100% more powerful, that means the difference between 30fps and 60fps. You can deny all the facts but you can't change them.
No offence, western games especially american games are quite boring, of course there are some better ones out there, but Japanese games just bring more innovations, fun things to the table. If you look at the Japanese games, they have more ideas and the art style are much cooler than western ones but they mostly can be found on handheld games only.

They are greedy, they are jealous of what Apple and Google has achieved, they want to be like them. SO, they turn xbox into a so-called entertainment hub trying to get as much as customers as possible. The gaming aspects on xbone definitely will suffer no matter what they are trying to tell you. And the machine is weaker anyway, you can't change that, it is too late.
even if you are a casual, you want to be monitored all the time? pay $60 a year to pay online? no free games like PSN plus? a controller which needs batteries? inferior and much fewer exclusives? much weaker hardware? To be honest, the reasons why some gamers choose xbone rather than PS4 is because they are westerners, I can't really think of a reason to choose xbone rather than PS4. On the other hand, I can think of tons of reason choosing PS4 instead.
