-I seriously doubt it. I have a couple year old Dell Inspiron 6000 and I know for a fact that it won't run it. At least not at anywhere near the performance that I will get from the 360 version.-
-gaffh, I can kind of understand where you are coming from, but at the same time I haven't seen you trying to calm down the overhyping of GOW3 and how people are exaggerating how good it looks. And that is a game that hasn't even been reviewed yet. At least this game has had some reviews come in already and they are very good. So, which game should you be more concerned with getting overhyped right now?
I think you are looking too much into it. Mass Effect 2 got a really good...
-Yep, the 360 had a 6 million lead when the PS3 came out and ...guess what?! The 360 still has over a 6 million console lead! The PS3 hasn't caught up at all.
The fact is, the 360 has gained a ton of market share over its predecessor, while the PS3 has lost a ton of market share. Spin that.-
-North America is the largest market, but that doesn't mean that there aren't some other really big markets. If they sold close to 5 million in North America why would it be so hard to believe that they sold another 5 million throughout the rest of the world? Despite what some PS3 fans will tell you, the 360 does quite well in Europe. It leads in the UK and sells at least equally well as the PS3 in several other countries. It also does well in Australia. When you add all that up together...
-Looks pretty good. Keep it up.-
-You mean like most of the upcoming PS3 lineup?-
-No such difference exists between the communities. When I play on PSN (on Uncharted 2 , for example) there is the same percentage of trash talkers and noise makers, but there are just fewer people using headsets in general. More people on Live use headsets so you hear more of every type of person: friendly, trash talkers, kids, etc.
Halo 3 was a great game. Its critical reception, sales and sustained fanbase are more than enough to prove that. Saying that Reach is what Halo ...
-It almost certainly will be 2010's biggest title. The only other game on the PS3 that can possibly come close would be GT5, but I'm not convinced that it will do as well as Halo Reach.-
-The point he is making is that even though you guys trump it as some major must-have feature the reality is that the vast majority of people won't even be able to use it. I would be willing to bet my life that most PS3 fanboys trumping the lossless audio won't even be able to use it.-
-No, I know where he is coming from. The 360 has tons of games, but Halo 3 is so good that I can't help but continue to play it. That doesn't meant that I don't play a wide variety of other games as well.-
-Way to paint with a broad brush. Only a few people have said that and at least one of them that I know of was a PS3 fan. So quit acting like 360 fans in general think that. I am over 30 and have been playing games most of my life and I don't think that way about cutscenes. I don't want all games to have long cutscenes, but for some games it is appropriate and part of their tradition--Final Fantasy being among them.
Nevertheless, even though I enjoy the cutscenes in the Final...
-Correction: quite a few JRPGs have done fairly well on the 360. There has been a general decline in the quality of JRPGs this generation, so there has been a parallel decline in interest, but what are you comparing those 360 JRPG sales to? If you compare them to the sales of JRPGs on the Wii and PS3 several 360 JRPGs have done well.-
-Obviously when he was talking about production costs he was talking about the ability for publishers to recoup those costs.
Of course it costs more money to produce two versions of a game, but do you think it costs more than developing two separate games for two separate consoles? Well, it doesn't.
Making the game on two platforms might increase costs by 50%, but the game might potentially sell to twice as many people by being available on two successful gaming pla...
-The thing you don't realize is that while you may think their reputation has been tarnished by them making FFXIII multiplatform the reality is that it is only a handful of hardcore PS3 fanboys on the internet that really think that way. In the real world, Final Fantasy XIII will likely be a success and will be enjoyed by more people than ever, thus giving Square-Enix even more prestige and respect.
Now, if FFXIII isn't successful it is only because Square didn't make a good gam...
-Sure, AKNAA, sure. Despite your claims to the contrary, Versus will come out and will not be noticeably superior to FFXIII. What you said about the 360 holding back the PS3 is nothing more than the typical junk commentary that comes from PS3 fans like you.
The PS3 is not any more powerful than the 360 and the only thing that the PS3 does have over the 360, Blu-ray, has no impact on graphics, it only determines how much content you can fit on one disc. JRPGs like Blue Dragon a...
PS3 has no games.
-Again, you guys talk like all PS3 exclusives look good, when most don't.
Also, MW2 did have a better frame rate on the 360. It's not a night and day difference, but the 360 version is still better.-
-Most games still lead on the 360 or they are made simultaneously on both platforms, so I don't know what you are talking about.-
-I know what you mean. I have heard PS3 fanboys saying LittleBigPlanet couldn't be done on the 360 and I almost fell out of my chair laughing. I pointed out that the PSP version looks about 80% as good as the PS3 version and if you consider how vastly weaker the PSP is, it is simply laughable that anybody could claim with a straight face that it couldn't be done on the 360.-
-The 360 is a console. It competes with other consoles, primarily the PS3. Mass Effect 2 is a console exclusive because it isn't available on the competitor's platform. Is it clear now?-
