Emulating real life is not what games are necessarily about. There are lots of ways games could try to be more like real life that would only make for worse games. Oftentimes when developers try to make things more "realistic" they only hurt the gameplay and the overall experience.

The graphics awards on the other hand show that some reviewers thought Uncharted 2 looked better than any other game in 2009 (including Killzone 2), but none of them said anything about looking miles better than "anything the 360 can handle". -MGS4 is a fantastic game, but visually it is way overrated. Lots of games look better than MGS4. I was just comparing MW2 on the 360 to MGS4 on the PS3 and there was no doubt that MW2 looked better. Assassin's Creed looks better. Resident Evil 5 looks better. It's a good looking title, but it's far from being the best on consoles.

You are the funniest guy around. You think GoW2 looks like a next gen game, but it isn't even close. It looks like a good last gen game, because that is exactly what it is: a last gen game that was one of the better looking games at the time but in technical terms is nowhere close to even the average games of today (except Wii games).-
