I rarely comment on XBox One articles, but here's something I noticed.
The minute people start talking about low preorder numbers for Xbox One games and stuff, the XBox crowd conveniently start talking about about how all of their family and friends aren't preordering retail copies, but are going to download it straight onto their hard drive, hence low preorders on retail copies.
Now the conversation is again conveniently being switched to suit their ...
I'm actually very glad to know that I'll be skipping Fifa 14 this year as this is the final nail in the coffin for me.
I've been playing Fifa games since 1999, and I must say that Fifa 13 was the least enjoying football game I've played to date.
So thanks EA for making me go to PES, for this year at least.
Or that anoying, unskippable, player substitution animation where you're forced to sit and watch for 15-20 seconds for a player to get off the damn field.
Sigh, another one.
PS2 13 years on the market, launched at $299.99
PS3, 7-8 years on the market, launched at $499.99-$599.99
That means that until the PS3 has stopped production or reached 13 years on the market,(Like the PS2)you can't accurately say how much market share the PS3 lost or won.
But even then, it wouldn't be a clear cut affair as there are many factors to consider such as, competition, stock market crash, ...
@ Jackanderson1985
I will never understand how some people can feel so proud of shouting nonsense around.
If your nickname is correct, you must be at least 27-28 years old, can you please explain to me how the PS3 lost 70 million sales compared to the PS2?
It took the PS2 12-13 years to sale 150+ million consoles. So you figured that the PS3 was going to sale the same amount in 7-8 years, while launching at double the price?

Boy you must've smoked some pure crack to come up with that paragraph. You can tell you were itching like a crackhead while writting it with all them .... .... .... you've got in there.
Just Stay Calm, and Preorder a PS4, or #dealwithit.

I bet the reason why MS bundled Kinect 2.0 with the Xbox One it's because they're super confident and convinced that there's absolutely now way that they can fool everybody twice, back to back.
If kinect 2.0 wasn't bundled, the first question the previous kinect owners would ask is :
1."Why can't I use the one I already own?". No real answer from MS, they just chose to not make it compatible.

Of course preorders can be misleading, and over 1 million preorders and counting doesn't translate into over 1 million sold. But you better believe that no matter how you slice it, the PS4 has a huge lead.
If people are not going to follow through with their preorders, the most expensive console would suffer more from that, as more people are likely to back out when they consider that it's half a grand and that's without Gold fees and s...
Dude once again,
You basically threaten the dude with FBI talk after he mentioned that he owns over 300 games legally, and plans to work in the industry, but he has downloaded a few games illegally. If someone said what you said to him (about the FBI) to me in real life, I've have to try really hard not to really do something that would actually require the FBI's attention to that said person.
You mentioned that you're not from this generation, so...
@nightfallfilms
I'm sorry to budge in like this, but here's a mild faq you to both you and your FBI college buddy. The man just mentioned over 300 games bought legally, and you'd snitch on him because he downloaded a faquing video game?
I actually think that you should call your buddy up, but only after you have him check your hard drive as well and he makes sure that you've never ilegally downloaded any songs, or movies, or programs, etc. ...
Wait.... were you guys expecting a faquing essay? It's TWITTER FFS!
You're correct, when that patent news came out, everyone was up in arms wanted to if Sony would actually implement that in the PS4.
But I think that all MS saw was that Sony was about to beat them to the punch and cash in on a moneygrab practice. So instead of seeing the outrage they saw it as an encouragement to press on with their own DRM and other stupid ideas. (my opinion)
I think the Xbox One will sell just fine in North America and in the UK, but...

Are you aware of how idiotic that entire post was?
This is Sony we're talking about here. The same company who MAKES TVs, OWNS one of the world largest record labels, OWNs one of the world's biggest Movie Studios, also produced the most successful gaming console of all time. Do you not get it yet?
A brief history for you:
1. PlayStation: CD ROM, play music CDs from your console.
2. PlayStation 2: D...
Well I bought mine directly from the Sony website, but they're all sold out right now and are on back order.
So ebay is your best bet really at this point.

"People should be celebrating the news that the Kinect can be disconnected. But alas, people's agendas are clear to see to all those can perceive it."
Yes some people have an agenda and don't like MS and their policies, and that's because those people can also clearly SEE MS's agenda when it comes down to to it.
"A fee will be required to play used games!" Huge backlash, few days later, they change...
Sony already has the HMZ-T1 and T2 Personal 3D player out on the market actually. It doesn't track motion but it's pretty much the same concept. I own one which I use for GT5 and right now TLoU which creeps me the F*** out. But the Oculus looks like the better product for pure gaming though.
It's also not locked down to the PlayStation brand as it work for anything with an HDMI output.

@Gaffyh.
(My opinion)
I think the reason why MS is so behind is because they were counting on Sony not releasing the PS4 until next year.
The way MS probably saw it, the PS3 had yet to hit the $200.00 price point, and had recently surpassed the 360 in total lifetime sales. So they assumed that Sony would not want to halt the PS3's momemtum and announce the PS4. Also, with the amount of AAA games that were to hit the PS3 (think back in Jan...
