the "next gen" console are maxed day one
1.6 ghz cpu is pushed to absolute limit day one
laptop/mobile/tablet gpu is pushed to absolute max
that's why games are not native 1920x1080, a resolution that has been the standard on pc for the last 8 years, these "next gen" console cannot even attain

they have both been virtually dead to me since uncharted 2, after that, I just couldn't stomach the low res textures, the screen tearing, the jaggies, the bad framerates and all the crappy pop-in
I have still gone back to play a few exclusives like halo 4, last of us and god of war ascension
but they looked AWFUL, like going back in time
then NVidia will release a gtx 785 that will crush this for the same price
amd is ALWAYS playing catch-up, and their drivers suck

I would hardly call 1120x584 optimal at all (that's the native resolution of D3 on both consoles)

hmmmm...this could go a few ways
take a game like Hawken, awesome game, beautiful graphics, have put around 20 hours in, unlocked like 5 cool mechs and some nice gear with in game money, never spent a dime
very few games are like this, path of exile, blacklight retribution , along with the new Neverwinter
these games literally offer TONS of content for free, with vanity/pet type items being sold for real money only

pc gamers are much, MUCH smarter than console gamers, and many have figured out how to cheat the system and get games illegally, even bypassing companies intricate DRM schemes and machinations
I do not condone it, I and many other upstanding pc gamers buy my games legally, that is why pc gaming actually makes FAR more money for the gaming industry than the ps3 and 360 combined

hmmmm....that's weird because an NVidia 8800 gpu came out the same time the ps4 did in 2006, it ran games better than the ps3 ever DREAMED of running them and STILL does to this day

what it needs is a gpu upgrade and a MAJOR cpu upgrade
4gb ram with the spec ps4 has would have been fine
they threw in more ram because it is by FAR the cheapest component and they knew the people who know nothing about tech would be impressed by 8gb ram
but, hopefully if you have an common sense you can see that it is not the ram, but the weak cpu and gpu that make it so games like bf4 must be...

I don't even want to rent this game after seeing how bad and low res and covered in jaggies it looks
just gonna wait for a pc version, probably 3 months from now on steam, and if I wait 5-6 months I can get it for $20 on sale
