Yes GOW2 would be better than “most games”… I agree. But it would be worse than if GOW2 was build for PS5 only. Let’s say Kratos is flying through at super high speeds on an entire world that is crumbling, the effect on that can be achieved PS5 would be impossible on PS4. For example, look at the Unreal Engine 5 demo. That scene of her flying out is impossible on PS4.

Looks is not everything. Game design and layout matter.
The city of Meridian was built with long windy roads and an elevator just so that the PS4 can load the city. Also PS5 version has no flying mounts due to the PS4.
Shiny graphics doesn’t fix those problems.

There has never been a playstation release where Sony has multiple first party games releasing on last gen 2 years into the cycle.

It isn’t. Uncharted Drakes Fortune came out 1 year after PS3’s release and was built from the ground up for PS3.
Why was it designed as a PS4 game when they knew a new console is coming?
