I just finished watching an episode of their "Invisible Walls" video blog and one of the guys said,
"You can't swap out the hard drive like you can on the xbox."

You would think these "Gaming professionals" would know a thing or two about their consoles.
If they ...
lol you have to wait for games that aren't even guaranteed to be AAA.
i have it for my DSi :D
that guy probably gets more poon than you.
and he obviously knows more about hardware than you, look how awesome of a mod he made!
it is not "fact" that you said "bluray will be obsolete soon (because of flash memory).
And on top of that, you just made the dumbest price comparison ever.
Flash Memory price (without content on it) vs Bluray game (with content on it).
Even if flash memory was cheaper to produce for games, do you think that would lower the price of a brand new game down from $59.99? Probably not, publishers would keep that extra profit to cover the rising...
right?
I was just thinking, here we have Sony doing all these great things:
3D gaming
headtracking
PS3-4K
wireless electricity for TVs and consoles
and Microsoft, the richest corporation in the world isn't even doing half of those.
(Well at least they havent talked about them yet. I'm sure they have SOME R&D on each technology, but i'm sure Sony is ahead overall.)
all the more reason these xbox "gamers" should be playing a PS3 instead, because Sony is actually putting out full retail games instead of just add-ons.
last night there was an ODST tournament at a local gamestop,
and my cousin who is a PS3 owner and doesn't have an xbox,
trained for two hours before the tourney and then whooped half of those kids asses.
it was hilarious!
This guy that lost to my cousin said,"well i have a full time job and i go to school full time so i can't play as much as I want."
and my cousin says "well i go to school full time...and i dont even have an xbox!&quo...
but are you the world's #1 electrical engineer?
i doubt it.
just because you have that title doesn't mean you always know what's possible and what's not.
This is the human race we are talking about.
We went from fire and the wheel to heavier-than-air aircraft and wireless telephones to communicate with someone across the globe.
why don't you look up wireless electricity on wikipedia?
It is pretty much based on resonance.
A transmitter makes electrons flow through a coil at a certain frequency
and the reciever picks up the resonating frequency and the electrons in its recieving coil start flowing, creating power.
Think of tuning forks. When one tuning fork is struck, the tuning fork of the same natural frequency nearby starts vibrating too, without direct contact, s...
the PS3 supports USB keyboard AND mouse.
It works like any normal PC web browser, with multiple web pages opened at once too. AND flash support.
You will notice hardly any difference at all.
Source: I used my PS3 as my internet browser for thee longest time, just for sh*ts and gigs and it gave me no problems.
you got it! +1 internetz for you. (not sarcasm)
except Tetris is on there.
Now that's a game I cam blow a few hours on.
like HDMI and Bluray?
Cause it'll blow.
anything besides IE FTW!
is to make a deal with a large telecom company and offer 3G or 4G service wherever you can get a cell phone signal.
Maybe even pay a small fee for the service.
With that you get to browse the web, listen to internet radio, access the Playstation Network, play online, remote play, and even skype other PSP owners.
Maybe the next PSP, maybe.
it should never matter how much stress you put on it via USB ports.
On my PS3, i play games that push the system like Killzone 2,
all while having my Keyboard and Mouse connected, my portable hard drive, my eyetoy, and then my cell phone and ipod charging from the keyboard's built-in USB ports.
That's 6 devices on a system with only 4 USB ports.
And I don't even think twice about it, i KNOW my system can handle whatever i throw at it.
even Microsoft knows PSN is catching up very very quickly.
hell, the only thing left is the cross game chat, and that is coming soon according to rumors from super_secret who has been pretty dead on.
Other than that, PSN has matched feature for feature.
For FREE!
so a few months back, this guy walks into my store asking about the prices of all the consoles, and then goes on to tell me that he hates Sony because they purposely made the PS3 expensive by putting some expensive rare crystal or diamond mined from Africa in each console, said he read it on CNN.
I asked him what the purpose of the diamond, maybe the processor die is made out of it or the bluray lens or something, anything, he said no, they just stuck it in there to jack up the price. ...
