But with Killzone 3, gamers with 3D TVs have the ability to comprehend how high or low they are going with those jet packs. That alone puts Killzone 3 on a completely different playing field. Gamers can judge even better how far an enemy is, how far to toss a nade, etc.
Killzone 3 in all it's glory is the Ferrari of console FPS'.
The game goes an extra dimension beyond where Halo can go, thanks to the amazing graphics, physics, animations and now, DEPTH.
With Sony's developers working this hard on 3D games that work only on the PS3,
imagine how much better 3D games on the PS4 are going to look, especially if Sony is planning (from what rumors I have heard) to use the CELL, Bluray, and XDR again. Not sure about the GPU though.
Either way, that means that with the next wave of consoles, Sony is going to be leading the pack in terms of graphics, size, depth, everything. And it will be much cheaper than if the market ...
I like how Forza fans are pretending that their game has made a dent on the Gran Turismo series in any way shape or form.
Since Forza came out, there hasn't even been a full GT game on any Playstation console (besides the PSP). Even then, GT PSP "flopped" because of the PSP hardware limitations, not Polyphony Digital (stupid analog nub, poor online infrastructure, no pressure sensitive buttons, UMD).
Comparing a full game (Forza) to an HD remake...
I was just talking about San Andreas yesterday.
There have only been two games in my life that I had super high replay value.
GTA: San Andreas and Starcraft!
And till this day, I can play them like there's no tomorrow!
Geez Sorry guys,
i don't spend every waking second on this website and memorize everyone's comments and personalities.
appreciating a great collaboration of first party studios isn't necessarily somehow licking Sony's b@lls.
But I see where you're coming from because I think we've all know what thereapersonsson said for years now.
Also, looking at your comments, you're one of the most anti-fanboy and genuine gamer on this site, yet you only have three bubbles. Something is wrong with the people on this site.
And they STILL complain about a split second hiccup.
I can't believe it.
You can never please everybody, even when the developer does things no other developer has ever done in the history of video games.
Meanwhile COD4.5 sells millions and that is the TRUE generic shooter.
Fun, but definitely NOT revolutionary in terms of tech.
You all just lost.

don't even try to bring up specs if you're only gona show one aspect of the RAM chips.
PS3: 256MB GDDR3 @ 700mhz + 256MB XDR @ 3.2GHz
xb360: 512MB GDDR3 @ 700mhz + 10MB eDRAM
When programmed right, especially with a Hard Drive cache set aside, the PS3's RAM alone walks (notice I said "walk") circles around the xb360.
@DJexs
So, just because you and millions of others can't afford 3D TVs means it's not the right time for 3D?
Despite 3D movies making huge strides in theaters, and developers are jumping on the 3D bandwagon to make their games better.
There once was a time when the majority of people couldn't afford Blurays, or HDTVs, or DVDs, or VHSs and VHRs, or record players and vinyls.
Not only that but journalists and consumers bashe...
My discs last indefinitely? (:
@ Alpha-male22
I'm pretty sure Microsoft made the new hardware model to be compared and compete with the PS3.
Otherwise, it wouldn't have a large HDD or network adapter.
I don't think M$ cares about competing with itself as much as competing with Sony's hardware.
it's called business.
You can go to the electronics store and try out 3D TVs to see for yourself if you like it or not.
Whether you like it or not, others will check it out, enjoy the experience, and shell out the money for it because they want it.
Nobody is forcing them to buy it.
So why are you complaining about it?
Of course no one will buy new technology like 3D TVs, just like nobody bought Bluray.

Because the focus for those two games are for them to seem real.
Jaffe is creating a game where you sacrifice a human to shoot a missile at a giant floating hunk of metal,
do you really think he gives a sh** if the graphics look as real as Uncharted 2?
@ GunShotEddy
You're mistaken those biased games for xb360 gamers.
Those are the ones that rant about slightly higher textures on multiplatform games, yet pretend Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, or Heavy Rain didn't push the bar whatsoever.
Twisted Metal is and always has been an arcade-style combat racing game.
As opposed to Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, and Heavy Rain, those games are supposed to make the player feel as if he/she is there, the p...
His reference to The Beatles has nothing to do with AAA status.
He is talking about popularity.
He is saying that Twisted Metal may never be mainstream, (like The Beatles) but that's okay because he feels his game is more like an underground band with heart and soul. Just because it isn't selling 5 million on day one, doesnt mean it isn't triple-A.
Look at games like Shadow Of The Colossus. It didnt sell anywhere near what GTA, Halo, or Ma...
DJexs, 3D gaming has to start somewhere.
I bet you'd still complain if the industry leaders didnt push it till the PlayStation 5.
"It's tooo early!! 3D gaming will die!!!"
Bluray says hello!
Say Hi back, c'mon don't be shy!
I know I'm saying hello, and I can't afford a 3D TV right now.
Bluray is allowing developers to fit 3D movies and games onto a single disc.
I for one welcome gaming becoming ...
200 != 1000+
Did it ever occur to you that this might be just ONE track out of TENS of tracks. Even Motorstorm 1 & 2 had courses that were more for speed, and not dirt racing. That's why there were Race Cars in the game. And even then, race cars suck at handling, to even out the playing field against the other vehicles.
Apparently you haven't played any Motorstorm game.
