your original arugment is that the yen is falling, which is ISN'T, it actually holds strong against the USD, and is one of the factors for the PS3 NOT seeing a price cut, as western monies are falling thanks to the recession that the government, banks, and big corporations have put us through.
Also, did it ever occur to you that Japan isn't "falling," that other territories are rather GROWING? It seems that THAT is the case. Japan has brought out two of the biggest name...
plenty of other reviewers that could not get a hold of the MP should have either waited, or reviewed the game all over again including the MP. Their scores for the game for sure would improve and would raise the metacritic. I think the experience has drastically improved thanks to Killzone.com. It has made the game feel much more competitive as it tracks EVERYTHING! Even saves those oh-so-awesome battle replays.
Killzone 2 might have just become one of the most competitive games ...

it isn't a pain in the ass for the consumer, which is the most important part. It won't fail on you, it won't scratch your discs, it won't steal your money for things that should be free (online play). The PS3 is a godsend for me and million of other owners.
Meanwhile, the xbox 360 has been a burden to millions.

2009: Year that the Playstation separates the men from the boys. Killzone 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, MAG, Uncharted 2 show what the Playstation 3 is made of, and what the xbox 360 is not.
this is great news, that's almost 1 account per PS3. Of course we all know even PSP owners can get a PSN account too, but 20 Million is a big number regardless :)

the yen is anything but worthless, do some research. I hope you know the fall of the USD is actually hurting Sony more on PS3 sales than probably anything else, had the USD been as strong as a few years ago, Sony would have dropped that price by now.
And also, you're trying to throw out relevant factors as "irrelevant," don't do that.

i'm tempted tocall DaTruth's gamestop store and use my employment abilities to ask how many preorders of killzone 2 and halo wars they really have, i can bet my bottom dollar they have more killzone 2, as does every store in my district here in San Antonio.

Just because Sony has been slacking on ads for the past year or two, doesn't mean they haven't produced superior ads in the past. I don't think a single Microsoft ad has ever defeated the best Sony ads. The Play B3yond are still among the best I've ever seen in my life. My spine tingled as I first watched those.
