Ya, I wont be renewing. After trying it this year I barely use it. The price hike sealed the deal of not renewing Live. Oh well I wont miss it.
*Just cancelled it. Not to hard. Screw MS and the price hike. My XBOX will now be for single-player only exclusives that I don't want to play on PC.

I would rate it at a 8/10. Its quite a bit of fun , while not perfect its interesting to say the least. Prepare to be quite frustrated while you learn the proper swing, lol, just like the real deal. I look forward to TW 2012 thats for sure. To see if they improve on it. you could always rent it, but they have the stupid "project $10"

Both are good I've had to adjust the sweet spots on my clubs up to %80 to make it more forgiving. I really like the putting. It doesnt feel too much different, but at the same time it does, lol. Its really easy to push or pull if you are not really focused on a smooth back and through while trying to get the power just right, add fast greens and you will really feel the pressure.
I found it hard but started to get the hang of it, my only problem was to make a good swing I can only get the power up to around %82 which kinda suck. TO get to %100 I have to swing way too hard it seems.
Um...4 hour long campaign isnt worth even a rental. Sorry man.
Ya watch "Coop mode" come out in the near future with a nice price tag and labeled DLC. EA ftl.

I totally agree about the 3 month thing. For me 3 weeks is usually the limit. I seldom find myself playing anything past that unless its really good, but thats why i have gameflys 2 disks at a time plan. One slot can always be used to get the quicker games and play em while the other is used for games that take up a lot of time or are really good.

One of the best decisions I've ever made. Sure I don't get pre-order bonuses or games on "Day 1", but I'm patient and bonuses are usually not that great. I get to play everything I want and I only pay $23 bucks a month for two games out at a time, plus their "Keep It" prices are lower than Gamestop's if I really love a game. This article almost screams to me "Get Gamefly and save yourself thousands $$$!" lol.

We are in the same boat Zombie. I primarily play PC, then PS3. I picked up a new 360 Slim this spring and got Live Gold. I have friends on both systems, the younger ones trend toward X360 with Halo and MW2. I said wth and got it and have played Gears, Splinter Cell, and several other games, but I really just use the online part of Live for coop gameplay. when I compare it to PSN, which has better voip(depending on the game), its not worth it. I will not be renewing my Gold, which sucks ...
Also with all these celeb endorsements you wonder why they are raising Live by $10.
