What you say is true. It is not 300k physical servers but 300k virtual servers or VM's, (virtual machines) that runs multiple whole operating systems at one time on each physical server.
Highly dependent on a servers memory capacity as the OS's are ran on the memory. (I'm a computer server reseller, so I come across clients who purchases these for virtualization)

I'm not an expert by any means on the subject, but the lower your ping the better it is for something like this. Ping directly correlates with noticeable lag or not. That's why when playing fighting games, it is shown what the opponents ping is so you can see if you will experience lag or not with that player.

Last I checked it was Sony who has a cloud based computing and gaming service by the name of Gaikai that was announced this February at the meeting for the PS4.

Looks so good so far. Seems the combos seems slower during execution though, wondering if that's through editing and intentionally slowing the gameplay or not.
I'm also wondering what the target platforms are. Is this for current gen and later on ported to next gen consoles, or is this being in development for next gen consoles.
Either way, I am excited for this game as I enjoyed the previous ones in the series a lot on the PS2.

I am as well DayZ, apparently the PS4 compared to the Xbox one's approach to Next Gen simply could not be ignored any longer, even by diehard Xbox fans that the better value is the PS4.
It is quite odd how Microsoft should be the one that should be open and more welcoming because of their PC roots, but slowly they have shown signs of wanting to be closed and controlled like Apple has been.
