@starchild , actually the price point is still valid. The PSVR isn't unusable with out the move or cameras. You do get extended use if you have all accompanying accessories though. People add move to the price point, but how about comparing occulus' touch solution? That's also another price you have to factor in.

I dont get the arcade mode argument, have you even tried survival mode? It is practically the same thing, you get a score, progressive difficulty fights, and bison is at the end.
SFV right now is great, yes they are delaying some features, and yes it released early to cater to PRO players, but everything the fanbase really needs is there already, and march already has a lot lined up.
if your getting "grab spammed" then your being read too easily, you can counter that.
Alot of differences if you are actually familiar with any fighting games.
For starters, an easy to see change is no focus attacks, which in SFIV it was essential to perform more advance combo strings (FADC), replaced with Vskill.
The whole fight money system is new, and a fair option for people that dont want to pay for dlc.
Theres also differences on how characters play as opposed to SFIV, Ken is a good example hes now more of a rushdown cha...

think of it like Guilty Gear Xrd, their arcade mode was a story mode prologue (actual story had no fights but i dont think thats what SFV is doing)
Tekken and Street Fighter already have lore you can follow, the game don't necessarily tell you the order out right but there is content if you look around.
That being said I'm waiting for SFV to come out, since supposedly there a pretty substantial storymode in there, its not crucial to my experience but it would be great.
If you unlock it with fight money yes.
Dreamcast development wouldnt work out imho. Segas success has not really come out of the console market as of late, I would attribute most of that success to their arcade market in japan, seeing how popular machines such as UFO catcher and what not are.
The cost as others would also point out is immense in the R&D alone, and thats a risk Im sure sega cannot risk at this point against 2 juggernauts in the market. Sega doesn't really have the ground to re-enter this marke...

Pretty sure it will. As it is now I think this is the first SF with a tutorial which will help newcomers. And if the rumours are right the story should be somewhat beefy to compete with the other fighters such as MKX with their single player element.

it already has been in application for those things for years. Just as a consumer peripheral its tougher to manage.
IMO I think the technology still needs some cooking time, the VR itself can be fine, but controls are still a big issue for the layman consumer who doesn't have say, a airplane simulation set or a drivers wheel and what not. Blu-Ray was expensive due to what it did at the time, the jump from SD to HD media is very very different for what your comparing it to. PS3s marketed that because it also doubled as the cheapest complete media station at the time. It did all that for a fraction of the price ...

Sorry if it surprises you dude but kojima is what made the series work for 20 years. Not konami. They gave him the funding, but if you glance over any other project they dont get these results. Will people buy the new metal gear should it really come out? Sure they will but will it have the success and pull that the originals had? Doubt it.
