Don't worry about it. It was present in the Alpha build and from personally playing it myself it's not that bad. Vehicles can still be taken out easily with concentrated fire.
Second unlike Bad Company 2 if you are standing next to a vehicle when it explodes it will kill you. The vehicle regeneration will be great for light vehicles also because one rocket to a Hummer is a bit over board. It should take at least two.

Let's see a high end PC render the same scene TWO times on one screen. Let alone a console. It's not possible as hardware won't allow it with such an advanced engine. In order for it to have split screen you would have to get rid destruction and low the texture quality even more.
