People couldn't imagine a need for more than 2 buttons and a d-pad but look at our current controllers. If someone doesn't try to innovate then the design of games will stagnate and not be as fun... Don't give up on motion controls just yet

that game was good times for sure! I remember playing it all the time with my dad during the summer. now I need to go buy a dreamcast again so I can play lol
If I remember right when they first announced Kinect, it was supposed to be able to track individual fingers but then in a cost saving choice they removed the internal processors from the camera unit and made it use the 360 to process the images.

The guy above said he wants a Kinect+ a move type controller. the PSEye already tracks the Move controller 1:1 in 3-D space just like the Kinect tracks a player. And the PSEye will track you as that's been shown numerous times (even though it's on a 2-D plane) That's all I was comparing, obviously we all know that kinect is capable of some pretty amazing feats but how many (if any) of those hacks from the youtube vids will actually make it into a game? Well done, finally a website that has the b@!!$ to say that kinect is an overhyped and poorly preforming product. I was beginning to think that M$ had been paying everyone off for all the good press...

Heavy Rain was the best game I played this year and the most emotional connection I've felt to a digital character (or characters as the case may be) since the ending to MGS4.
These controllers look great, but I wish the PS3 one looked as good as the other two... =/

Um... I'm hoping that kinect gets more game integration as well but I hope that developers come up with better ideas than that list. Why use the Kinect for voice commands when we already have a headset? Playing Rock Band with stage presence is kinda cool in theory but think about if you had to flail around WHILE still hitting all the notes and not falling over your singer or something (and would the bass player need to stay still? j/k I love playing bass)

Videogames helped me pass my drivers test! Ok maybe not but they sure didn't hurt either
Mark of Kri had one of (if not the best) combat systems and it was fun too! Loved that game. It did get a sequel in 2005 called "Rise of Kasai" and had a new playable character. Didn't play it though so I don't know if it was as good as the original, but it could definitely use another entry in the series.
P.S. awesome list, maybe add Psi-Ops?
