Never before has this guy seen this much excitement and fanfare for a game in history? Really? What rock has this dude been living under? Gears of War had more hype than this, and don't even bring up Halo 2 or 3. The very first line of this article completely takes away any creditability this guy has.
Look at preorder numbers. They are a joke compared to most other big games at this point in their pre-release life. I hear more talk about Mass Effect 2 than this game.
LOL, they aren't even in-game. There is no hud at all and the camera angles aren't right for playing. Sorry, but I'm not getting excited because a cut scene looks good, they are supposed to.
So, one guy from EA says it maxed out, so therefore it is? Well, for a maxed out console, EA still manages to make the 360 versions better than the PS3 versions, over and over again. Maybe by "room to grow" he means room to catch up.
Look, I'm not gonna sit here and bash the PS3, everyone knows what its capable of. But considering EA of all companies has yet to really show the PS3 has more potential than the 360, I'm gonna take what ever one guy says from EA with a grai...
She was doing what FOX paid her to do, cater to FOX's fan base. Everyone knows the religious right is easily riled, and that's exactly what they aimed to do. She went into the whole thing completely misinformed. She went off what FOX told her and didn't even watch it for herself until she was called out on it. She looked like a complete idiot to anyone that actually knew what the deal was.
Regardless of what the haters say, there is a reason Halo wont die, and it sure isnt because it sucks. I'm super psyched for Reach, and Im not even much of an online gamer.
Actually, I've had this idea for a while now. The problem with the 360 has always been the airflow. The way the 360 is designed, the GPU is always covered by the DVD drive, thus limiting the heatsink and restricting airflow over the GPU, ultimately leading to many of the RRoDs. Not only that, but the system RAM is also tucked away behind all of that, so it doesnt get the cooling it need either. If you put it in a PC case, you could open it up for a fan on the GPU, and maybe even heat sinks on...
Infinity Ward should really be ashamed of themselves, putting a game out this unpolished. I think Activision is ultimately to blame though. I guarantee this is a direct result of the game being rushed to hit the holiday deadline.
Wow, a lot of insecure Sony fanboys here, huh? Gettin' your panties all in a bunch because someone that actually knows something of what they talk says something you don't want to hear.
Halflife 2 is the most over rated game of all time. The game is an ok shooter at best. Everyone wants to proclaim it as something so special but completely neglect to talk about the glaring flaws.
Halflife 2 has some of the worse pacing I have ever seen. The entire first half of the game was a test in patience (BORING!!!). The story is forgettable, no where near amazing like people say. Hell, I literally just beat the game 2 weeks ago and have already forgotten what the point wa...
The reason Natal is better then the PS3 Wand or the Wiimote is because you can utilize it in conjunction with a standard controller. This instantly makes it more viable for many more game types. There is literally nothing restricting Natal except the developers imagination. Natal will be the next big thing.
The game deserves GOTY but the annoying Sony fanboys here dont deserve the game.
*Sigh*
Yeah, I know. I used to hang out on TooHuman.net, a place where Dyack actually hangs out as well sometimes, and we could never get a straight answer out of him. That pretty much told me everything I needed to know. I guess I'm just hoping that if I complain enough, Ill get something, but deep down I know better.
Sony's year? LOL, Halo: Reach will outsell all of the other PS3 exclusives probably put together. The PS3 has some nice exclusives, but to act like the 360 has nothing in 2010 is stupid. The 360 has a crap ton of nice exclusives, and one thing that everyone seems to completely underestimate, Natal. Yeah, to the people that doubt it's potential popularity, remember what everyone said about the Wii.
LOL @ all of the damage control. All of the crap talking on Forza, only to see this. All of this crap about it being very compressed, its only 1 car with 1 track, its not going to be a big download.
Hey Dyack, instead of making making ridiculously obvious comments like this, how about making that sequel to Too Human you promised us? Yeah, I was one of the few that actually LOVED that game, and I was one of the people that would defend him, but now he is pissing me off. He refuses to give a straight answer on anything Too Human related, be it DLC or a sequal. For God sakes, there is an in game store feature that has never even been utilized yet.
"1.1 - This actually surprised me.
But it goes to show that PS3 owners are more varied in their gaming and won't just flock to the same genre all the time. "
Spoken like a true fanboy.
People talking all this crap about Natal failing needs to stop being morons and actually read up on Natal. The whole playing without a controller thing is only one aspect of the thing. You can actually use Natal in conjunction with a standard controller, to give you actions such as, leaning in an FPS without having to use buttons to do the "lean". There is a crap ton of ideas developers can come up with with Natal, and they arent confined to a Wiimote or a Sony Wand.
Lo...
I dont know whats up with people's vision on this site (Sony rose colored glasses, maybe?), but I just popped in ODST right after watching that video, and its night and day. The level of detail in everything is sick, and the only thing Killzone 2 has over it as of now is the animation. The video still shows the classic stiff Halo type animation.
LOL @ anyone who actually thinks GOW3 is gonna anywhere near as big as Halo: Reach. The only PS3 games that has a chance to outsell Halo: Reach would be GT 5, and that's still a big maybe.
Does anyone really care what Pachter says anymore? The dude needs to go away.
Not to mention the fact that Microsoft's bajillion dollar marketing campaign is the only reason Gears got as big as it did, and Epic knows it. Microsoft put 512 megs of RAM in the 360 because Epic said they needed it for Gears. It sounds like a win/ win situation for Epic and MS, and I seriously doubt they regret it.
